    - multiple people editing with FP Hello, I was told that a new feature of FP 2003 is a method of providing the ability to have different users (with passwords I assume) update different areas of a website, but not be allowed to edit other areas, or alter the layout etc. I am fairly familiar with Frontpage 2000, but I'm having no luck whatsover finding what I need here. Could someone point me in the right directions...or maybe direct me to web site that could help?? I have searched...but obviously I'm not using the correct terminology.     - Looking for tutorial ??? I have recently purchased FP2003 and am a bit befuddled with how to get started. I have Photoshop experience and struggle a bit, but always get done what I need. I find FP's lack of explanation for terms and how to use them remarkable. How do frames,tables,cels,layers columns, relate. I've been doing a trial and error learning process and getting mostly errors. I end up with a page full of b&w dotted lines, blue lines, green lines, and great difficulty nailing images in the places I want them. Some tables are visible in preview mode and some aren't.     - Cant save changes I have had difficulty in saving the changes made to my hyperlinks. After putting in the relevant path to pages in my site (facepainting.htm) it will not save this as a change and reverts back to C:\\Myweb/mimicks/facepainting.htm. When i upload the links are not working as the link is being directed to my hard drive and not the web page. I managed to save the changes by doing it in My Network Places http:\\mimicks.co.uk and the changes were saved there but they were not saved in Mywebs.     - Password Protection Validation Message Hello: I need to password protect a certain page from within my web site. I added a password field to the form on my home page (http://www.sliaa.com/default2.htm) and set the validation so that your are required to enter a specific password (in this case, sliaa). It works great, except that when you don't enter the right password, you get an error message that tells you what you need to enter (thereby rendering the password futile). How can I change the verbiage in the message to simply say something to the effect of 'Please enter correct password'? Instead f revealing to people what we are trying to keep from them.     - help with query! hello! In an ACCESS database I have a table with an autonumber field, I need to know the value generated for the autonumber field everytime I post a new record to the table. How can I do that? I suposse this is a very basic question but I'm new to access.     - Oracle Tables I am attempting to connect to Oracle tables using Frontpage 2000 through an ODBC connection. I can set up the database connection fine but when I ask it to show me the available tables the drop-down list only shows me a few of the available tables but not the ones I need.     - Re fphover I have a problem regarding fphover-classes. In some Swedish Internet Explorer (the latest update and all) fphover-buttons doesn't show, they are just marked as a broken link.     - Frontpage & MS Access DB I have suddenly run into a problem saving data into an Access Database. The form has worked in the past but now it "Acts" as if it's working by reporting the correct response form "ie: not an error response" but the data does not save into the table. I'm pretty familiar with FP, but have had some problems having the form results sent to an email. I can set up the form to have the results send to a database, but that's it. Now the form is set up to e-mail results when it's submitted - however when I save the form, we get the following FP error message: ---------------------- This form is being created on a disk based web or the FrontPage server extensions have not been configured to send e- mail ...etc... Would you like to remove the e-mail recipient? yes/no ----------------------- Properties of the form are set correctly and as far as I can tell, SMTP Services and FrontPage extensions are installed correctly and set up for e-mail to indicate the correct SMTP Server and email addressses to be used. IN addition to the problem saving the form discussed above, whenever the form page is accessed by a visitor (or through a browser locally) it shows a line that says "[FrontPage Save Results Component]" at the top of the form, and whenever the form is submitted, the user gets the following error message: ------------- FrontPage Run-Time Component Page You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.     - tracking counterS on 1 page I would like to display the .cnt file(s) info from 6 (working) counters onto 1 page. All the counters (& files) are within 1 site. When I use inline frames, iframe does not want to display the counter file info in the frame, I'm prompted to 'open' or 'save' only.     - FP2003 - Form / Query Problem Hi Im new to this so please bear with me ...... I have created a form in FP 2003 which adds records to an .mdb file. When the user submits the form, I want the confirmation page to show not only the detail that has been submitted but also the record number, user name and IP address of the users computer. I decided (rightly or wrongly) that the best option would be to put a basic query onto the confirmation page which shows the latest record added for that user or IP, thus showing the user what he had just added and also giving him a record number should he need to chase his request. The problem is, I do not seem to be able to retrieve the user name at all. This is not even posted when the user submits the form even though I have requested the user name. The IP address is added, so I wanted the query to compare the current users IP address with that of the records in the file, thereby displaying to the user the latest record for his IP. I cannot however figure out how to retrieve the IP address from the users computer to compare against the database records. Finally, I found KB 323236, which says YOU CAN'T. This was also a problem in FP 2002, and MS didn't fix it. I am glad I still have a copy of FP 2000 to reinstall after removing FP 2003.     - Music on web site In the past, I have placed music on my web site using *.ram and a *.rm files. The *.ram file is a metafile created by a text editor and the *ram file is created by Real Producer. I am finding that music produced this way is taking too long to buffer and stopped several times while playing in order for more music to buffer. Is there a better way to do this? If so, how? IIS Server. I upgraded to FP 2003 and now a 2003 server
w/iis 6.0 now the forms do not send the mail. Is this an

Have you configured the extensions to the virtual web, and configured the
forms to email transport in the extensions on the Win 2003 server?

Yes, it is configured to go to our exchange server (5.5)
