    - Fixing the text size Probably simple ... but how do I fix the size of the text on a page so that when someone clicks "View" and text size on their browser ... they can't increase the size ...     - Using Database result in form I have a quick question from a Newbie. I would like to use a value returned from a database query as a variable in a form. Here's the scenario: I query the database to find the highest value for my record [Select RequestNumber from Results Where Key= (Select Max(key) From Results)]. That gives me a result called RequestNumber which I would then like to increment and use as a variable when I add a new record. Namely RequestNumber + 1 would be the next record to add.     - lost username & password Is there any way to get around the username & password to publish my page? I lost my paperwork which it was on. I haven't published any updates to the site for over a year, and now my host server crashed and I have to publish to a new host.     - discussion group "framed" page i've created a discussion group on my page using FP2002. everything seems to work fine except for the contents page which i think is a "framed" page. on the web page, when i click on the contents page it opens a small section (frame) at the top and above the previous page and I can't get rid of it by clicking on any other link. It just stays there at the top of every page. How do I get this "framed" page to un-frame or how do i create a link that will open the rest of my pages without this "framed" page?     - photogallery display problems Greetings all; I created a website (www.geocities.com/barbbrahmstedt) using Frontpage 2002 that contains several photogalleries on different pages. The site was working perfectly - displaying all thumbnails as expected and displaying enlargements as expected - until I recently rebuilt the entire site. During the rebuild I deleted all files from the ftp server and then copied all new fles from the new site back to the server. Since then, the pages will load okay and all picture that are not part of a photogallery display properly but the photogalleries are not functioning. The first picture in the gallery (slideshow format) shows up in the enlargement space but none of the thumbnails appear. Clicking on the thumbnail placeholders will not change the enlarged image. I noticed that when I developed my original site I had files called Thumbs.db scattered throughout the site. With this new build, these files were not generated. A year has passed since I originally built the site so there's probably something I'm just forgetting to do but I'll be darned if I can figure out what! I'm using WS_FTP Pro to do the ftp transfers (v. 7.62) Any help? Thanks! Tag: Form Results Tag: 22100

    - Creating Templates and Updating Navigation Bars I'm creating a new web from scratch and I'm running into some problems. The website I have created will be 4 levels + the homepage. I have created my own templates for each page and the homepage. Each page has basic information in the left nav bar that will change every 6-8 months. When I update my nav bars, I want to only update one page. In Dreamweaver, I use to update only my server side include page and every page that had a server side include would update. I know MF2002 must have a tool similar to Dreamweavers SSI. I was told by one individual that I should create my template, and just "Insert/File" into a blank page and this would solve my problem. I tried it but when I went back and changed the template, the change didn't appear in the new page. Please help because i have been banging my head for the last two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!     - Specific Page Access I would like to make an entry text box on the shared left border of my site that allows my customers to enter in a specific code I give them.     - server When I open a web from within Frontpage then do Tools / Web Settings the Server version: is "No server currently in use." What does it take to start a server from within FrontPage? I have found that if I open a Web in from inside of IIS using the "All tasks" then "Open with Frontpage" the server appears to be loaded. But now, when I open frontpage this way from within IIS, it finds the correct default.htm but is current in the wrong directory. As such all of the other components of my web are not visible in the FrontPage Folder list. If I use File / Open etc. to get the correct directory established then the IIS server is no longer loaded.     - FP2000; Forms Hello, I'm running FP2000 and have no problem creating a form. My problem is trying to send the completed web to the off site server. They have already told me they ARE running FPSE. When I look at the code I see a grayed area. By default FP is always inserting the local file name in the place where the file should be on the off site server.     - Frontpage Linking Question Hi, I am working on a webpage at the place where I work. I'm not a web designer by any means so this question may be trivial. I have a button on the page that I want to open a program that each computer on our intranet has installed on it. The way I did it now was to simply link it to the .exe file. The thing is with that, everytime someone clicks on it a box comes up that says open/save you know which box I'm talking about. Well the program will load if the user hits open.     - can not upload To whom it may concern: I purchased FrontPage 98 several months ago. I have been very happy with the product and have not had any problems up until recently. I maintain a website for a church and update the site weekly. The last time I went to update the site all indications showed the site was being updated. However, when I checked the actual site, nothing was updated. I have since tried several times to update the site with no success. When I try to update going through /copy of calvarytaberna (local), it says that "no files have changed in your web since you last published to destination". Then I tried to update through "<Root Web>" and it comes up with "This operation requires author permission". Since I am the author and have not changed the password, I cannot figure out how to resolve this issue.     - accessing URL instead of c: drive I've made a website with Frontpage at www.pyechamberlayne.com. When I go to work on it I used to be able to go to the index page on my c: drive and make tabs for subsidiary pages to work on by doing ctrl-click on the hyperlinks. Now when I do that, rather than just get the linked-to page from my c: drive, Frontpage goes to download the linked-to page from the Web at my URL. I CAN work that way but it's a hassle. A real pain. What I want to do is to navigate with ctrl-clicks like I used to. Now I know there are other ways to navigate: like use the "Navigate" function on the left side of the Frontpage screen. Duh!!     - Calendar postings within Frontpage I'm attempting to create a reservation page using FrontPage. I have a situation where some reservations are recurring. I'd like to have a feature whereby users can select recurring options and identify their meeting is weekly, bi-weekly, second tuesday of every month, etc. This is similar to the manner in which Outlook works for us right now.     - Re Using MSWord Templates in Front Page I am using Windows 2000 with FP 2000 I have created a new folder in FP and in it placed a MS Word Document Template. This template has a macro that runs when the document opens.     - Database Interface Wizard I used the Database Interface wizard to create a web, then "published" the web to an IIS server supporting FP extensions. Yes but you will have to program this yourself using
whatever programming language that is supported by your
web service provider. Check with them as they may also
have scripts available that perform the way you want (or
close enough).
