I there a function in frontpage that will allow me to export data in a text
tab and comma delimited text file.

Only if storing form data, then can store the data in .csv file.

Well how do you retrieve the data with FP to produce the csv or text file?

You create a form, then under Form Property have the data written to a file (.csv).
