Disk Based Site - Forms

I am continuously having problems with forms on my disk based sites. The
"help" menu says to use the "Insert" menu instead of form page wizard, been
there, done that, still doesn't work. The only form I've ever got to work is
on my "server" based site.
HELP!!

that's the way it is.
you can't get a form "action" unless a server processes the file(s).

PS; this isn't just FrontPage forms, it's any forms (PHP, CGI, ASP,
ASP.NET).

If your site is disk-based, then non of the FP features that require the run-time extensions will
function, such as form, guest book, discussion web, hit counter, etc.

For these features to work they must be created or published to a server running the FP extensions
via FP's http mode.

Form data is either read by a script or by the FP server
extensions. On a disc-web, the only real option you are
going to have is to use javascript to read the data, as ASP,
PHP, and the FPSE are all 'server' implemented

Thank guys for the responses.
The site in question IS published to a server with FP Ext's via http mode,
that's why I can't understand why the form isn't working.

The form must not have any server-side scripting in the page and the file extension must be either
.htm or .html.

All I can think of then is that you are not running the page
as http://, but file:// and I do not believe that the fpse
will function in that situation
