I want to add a field to my front page database. Adding
the new column to database is no problem. When I go to
results form to add new field via "Insert Database Column
Value", the new field I added in database does not appear
in drop down list? As we all know, we can't use wizaed to
do these updates. How do I modify my database after
wizard generates results and editor?

Did you update the database on your hard drive and reimport it into your web
or did you update the database in your web?

I updated database on hard drive in FrontPage (in folder
fpdb)so no need to reimport.

I would recommend exporting the database from your web down to your hard
drive, delete the database and the global.asa from your web and then
reimport the database (give it the same DSN as you did the first time) and
let FP recreate the global.asa. That should fix it.

I did all that, but same results. New field not available.

OK - here's two other things to try: verify your database connection: go to
Tools | Web Settings | Database click once on the connection and click the
Verify button, and click OK.

Try creating a new query page - is the new field available?

OK, we're there! Prior to verifying database, it was
necessary to click "Modify", then "Apply". After a few
seconds, Connection appears with ? -then a verify finishes
the task. Rather than generate new Query page, modified
SQL in custom query through wizard dialog.
Thanks for all the guidance.

Yes, all the recent work is being done directly on server.

Problem fixed. See my latest response to Kathleen.

Thanks for helping out.
