    - Changing the automatic confirmation page Does anyone know how to change remove the automatic confirmation that FP puts into the code upon creating a form submission to a database? I would like the confirmation to be a page I created. Below is the code that is the problem. FP_FormConfirmation "text/html; charset=windows-1252",_ "Form Confirmation",_ "Thank you for submitting the following information:",_ "post.asp",_ "Return to the form." When I edit this code it messes up my database connection. There must be a way to get rid of this automatic page and redirect to the desired page but I am not a coder. Any ideas?     - How can I easily get all pages to use the included Banner page background colour? (do I have to use a table?) I am using an Include (Insert | Web component | Included Content | Page ) to add a banner to every page in my site. When I change the background colour on my banner.html page it does not propagate to all other pages. It will propagate if I create a table in my Banner page though and change the cell formatting background colour. How can I easily get all pages to use the included Banner page background colour?     - I need advice I am currently trying to design a web for a realesate company. I would like to be able to click on each agent and see a list of property they have listed. and also click on view all properties and see a list of all properties on a seperate page by themsleves without the agent. What is the best possible way to get this done without having to go in and manually list the home next to each agent and again on the view all properties.     - FrontPage 2003 - Enter Key Exits Form Using FrontPage 2003, I created a form using a combination of text boxes, drop-down boxes and check boxes. All works great except when you hit an Enter Key within any text box, the form immediately ends storing the data as if the form had been completed . The text boxes are optional comment areas within a survey so making them required (validation) is not really an option. Even if I make the last field required entry, all previous answers (long survey - 50+ questions) are lost when the person returns to the form. Can the enter key be disabled within the form?     - Frontpage and MSGraph? Dear all, I'm building a web application (IIS & .asp) with Frontpage and an Access data base. So far so good, thanks to the wizards, but on one page I would like to present some data from the Access data base in a simple graph. To add the graph on the page is easy in Frontpage but how do I customize the appearance and, most important of all, how do I feed data to the graph? I have searched the Knowledge base but there seems to be very little information available. I'm not an expert in VB hence I need examples to understand how it works. I would be grateful if anybody could give some help on this or perhaps direct me to some informative sources. Is there maybe a better solution with another application?     - Password Protected pages Hello, I am running IIS 6.0 W2k3 and using FP 2002 an created a logon web with password database from the article below. When I go to test the web all I see is code. Why? ASP is enabled on the server but the original web was created on a disc and then published to the server. Anyhow why the code and not the test?     - Banner Ad Manager Help! I used the Banner Ad Manager on my website homepage to show some of my paintings. It show up in FrontPage but not on the internet. The page is blank on my internet site.     - Deleting a File Path that goes Nowhere??? Ok, I'm as new as they come... installed FP2002 and instead of reading the book I purchased, I had to jump right in the fray. And a fight it's been ever since. I accidently created a page and have no idea how to delete it. I created several WRONG file paths and I don't know how to delete those either. So, as a matter of principle, I just thought I would uninstall FP and reinstall and thought they would go away. NOT. Could someone please help.     - Printing form From Web Site Hi, This is the closest newsgroup to the topic I am looking for so I hope someone can help with these TWO problems. My father-in law has asked if I could step into a pre-existing web site and make needed modifications since the business that was doing it did a very poor job. I am definitely an amateur with FrontPage but I do know some HTML and programming. Anyway PROBLEM 1 ------------------ When some of the forms are printed from the web site (just plain form, print, fill it out with pen, mail back, nothing fancy) it always prints 2 pages even though there is nothing on the second page. Plenty of space on the bottom of the page. Any suggestions? PROBLEM 2 ------------------ On one of the forms the text does not wrap as it should when the form is printed. This form prints one page but the text is truncated on the right side. It does not word wrap. I looked at the code, it was originally written with FrontPage 5. I have FrontPage 2002. I do not see any problem with the code. Could it be a setting on my computer? Any suggestions?     - Hyperlink to Access? Does it take a great deal of programming knowledge to create a hyperlink in a Front Page html file that transfers control to Access, so Access reports can be run? I don't have the programming knowhow to do the more complex code involved in integrating the two together, and the wizards in both programs (DRW/Data Access Pages) don't go far enough for what our company wants.     - The Only Font is the Default Font That's exaggerating a bit, but other than a small selection of fonts, when I change the font on FrontPage 2002 into a new font, it automatically becomes the default font. The strange thing is that if I set the default font to one of these usually-undisplayed fonts, they display fine (of course, all others become that one default). When publishing, I get the following message: This FTP server doesn't support folder names that contain spaces. Rename the source web's folder corresponding to "microsoft frontpage" and any other folders that have spaces in their names and try again... I don't understand...which spaces?     - eliminating top margin on Netscape When I preview my page in Netscape, it always shows a top margin of about 15 pixels.     - Hit counter Hello: I have mde my first web site with front page. after publishing it everything works fine except... the hit counter. the counter reads 1 all the time. it never advances and i have tried from logging on from several different ip addresses but it still never advances. the address to my space is an http address but the adress i was given to publish my page to is and ftp address. My ISP has a section where i needed to activate front page extensions and i have done that. they tell me it should work fine and the problem is on my end. can anyone shed some light on my problem?     - Hosing Server Hello, The company which hosts my website claims that my active server pages are hosing his server. I have had these pages for 4 years pretty much as they were written. I didn't write them but added criteria and changed the output format, but a while ago. I have had them on several servers and was never told of a problem This recenlt company has never reported a problem, but now claims they had to quarantine my site to protect the other site on the server. I have been having trouble that I know if since they upgraded from Win2000 to Win2003. There is no logic to the claim that my pages are the problem. It seems the problem must be with Win2003 or the configuration. Here is page that is run most frequently. It is run from a form on another ASP.     - Database Locking up Hello, I have a Access Db on a website. I have a procedure of FTP'ing a database (clientDB.mdb) to the site then running an active server page to transfer the data to the main database (Truckloads.mdb). After the transfer I close the ftp program (wsFTP Pro v8.01). Next I run the ASP. A couple weeks ago the company which hosts my site, upgraded from Win2000 to Win2003. Immediately there were problems. The active server pages stopped working intermittantly. I discovered that there was an .ldb file ( Truckloads.ldb) in the Database directory which was causing the problem. The company said that they tracked the problem to coincide with the time I ran the ftp program and my asp. Since I transferred clientDB.ldb, I don't get the connection. Nothing changed on my website, but the server software changed, so logically, it would be something in Win2003 or the configuration that is the problem. Does that seem feasible? The company also claimed that my Active server pages were hosing his server. I don't know which pages, but here is the page I run to do the transfer. Is ther something in that which could cause memory problems? I only run it a half dozen times per day. I'll post other code in another thread.     - Knotty problem ? Hello, Wonder whether you could help with this. I have .asp pages in FrontPage linked to an Access database. In the form reflecting the database contents, I have a field called Course Code, for example the value 100. I define a hyperlink on this field towards a Subscription Form that contains a "submit form", i.e. creates a new record in the database. The idea is that when the user clicks on Course Code of the original form, he is redirected to the Inscription Form which automatically displays - in the Course Code field - the course code, in this example : 100. aware of, since I have not used Frontpage 2003 before.

When editing webpages, I CANNOT see the cursor on the page
in design view. If I click on a text..It is like I am
typing a blank area without being able to see where my
cursor actually is. Is there a way to turn it back to a
normal way where i can see the pointer. Please email me at

Can you update all of your drivers and see if this helps?

You are the 2nd person I've heard of this happening to, and for the other
one, updating the video drivers did the trick.
