I copied the document to a folder set it as read only, then added a button onto a web page that linked to the document. This works fine, except when i go to hit back, it asks for a user and password.     - form: creating bottomline-only text box, up/right/left border I'm trying to create a text box, to submit names and such. I go into the form properties, adjusting the border to have only the bottomline border show up. When I click okay and go to look at it in preview, there is the ridged/default border around it still, including the bottomline in the color I chose.     - Forms and Calculated Fields Hi, I have a FrontPage Form with a bunch of questions. I have also setup a confirmation page - no problems. The confirmation page has confirmation fields. Depending on the end-user's selection the confirmation fields may say "CORRECT!!". MY QUESTION: a. Is it possible to create an additional field that can count the number how many times the word CORRECT!! is the confirmation field result? b. if the above is not possible, is there a FrontPage Testing template or Testing or calculation field Add-in that can be sourced or purchased? --- Currently I am asking my end user to count the number of times the word "CORRECT!!" is the result, and add them up to find out their total score.     - SQL UPDATE problem with FP database wizard I'm trying to do an SQL UPDATE on an Access database using the FP database wizard. The database connection is working OK, using the wizard to do lookups works fine. The SQL query I'm putting into the wizard is: UPDATE users SET activated = 1 WHERE (user = ::user::) ::user:: is a form field "user", which I have tried passing to the page containing this script using both GET and POST. However, all I get is this error: Database Results Error Your page contains a query with user input parameters that could not be resolved. This could happen if your DatabaseRegionStart webbot has an empty or missing s-columnnames or s-columntypes attributes. You may need to read Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 817029. Article 817029 refers to FrontPage 2003, which I am NOT using, I'm using FrontPage 2002, and the server is Windows 2000 SP4 running the default FP server extensions, I haven't upgraded them.     - FP 2003 Slower than 2002 I've recently upgraded to FP 2003 from 2002 and when I type content in Design View there is a few seconds delay before the letters appear. This never happened with the earlier version. Even though I eventually see all that I've typed the few second delay drives me nuts. The larger the file/page the longer the delay.     - A question about graphics hyperlinks. I've scanned the NG, and can't seem to find an answer to my problem... Okay. I'm a semi-newbie with FrontPage, and I currently use FrontPage 2000, and I'm having a problem! I wanted to add a hyperlink to one of my pages (to another page,) and went to the page, itself, in mozilla, and saved the index.htm file that I wanted to append to, to a different file on my hard drive than the original folder containing all my web design files. When I opened it up to edit it in Front Page, all the image hyperlinks had been reverted back to the directory in which I saved the index.htm file. I did my revisions, and then saved it, uploaded it, then checked it out in mozilla. Apparantly, all the image hyperlinks had been linked to where FP saved it on my hard disk. (specifically, to the index_files sub-folder that was created by mozilla in the folder where I saved the page to my hard drive.) My question is this: Can I do a "mass change" on the url directory in which all my images are in, instead of having to go back through every image (about 30) and change the link?     - ASP bookmark woes I'm getting a little desperate here... I've built an .asp page using Frontpage 2003 that contains an alphabet list of hyperlinks that will (ideally) connect to bookmarks inside of a table containing a list of countries - one country per table cell. The problem I'm having is that the links jump down the page just fine from within the Frontpage preview window, but do not work when previewing in a browser (I.E. 6.0 in my case). I can convert the page to .html and the links work just fine - however I do have example pages on our corporate intranet that seem to be effectively using bookmarks with .asp pages, so it seems to be possible. I've compared the source code for these pages against the source for my page (as generated by Frontpage) and see no differences in syntax. I'm limited to .asp when designing pages for our intranet, so I can't simply change formats. I'm at the end of my rope - any suggestions would be very welcome.     - error msg computer disconnected from network I wanted to upload my web, ftp setting is fine, password is fine, but I get a pop up saying "the computer is disconnected from network". I called my server. Everything was working fine last week. Unchecked the firewall, server hasn't done anything to prevent me from uploading to my website. I don't know all the "terminology" to explain all this, and everything was working fine, so maybe something happened to prevent my server from recognizing my computer in uploading, or is there a glitch in Frontpage 2002 that caused this?     - FP2003: Open Method on Web Object not leveraging UserName / Password parameters I'm working on a Visual Basic .NET application that leverages the FrontPage object model to pull information from two remote servers. When I make a call to the Open method on the Webs object, I pass in a valid username and password for the web. However, when the first real method against the resulting Web object is executed, the FrontPage window appears and prompts the user with the following message: "You do not have permission to do this operation. Ask your web site administrator to change your permissions and then try again, or log on with a user account that has this permission. To log on with a different user account click OK." The user account that is passed through the Open method does have sufficient permissions (Administrator rights), and if I re-enter the username and password in the dialog after clicking OK, it works just fine. I'd like to prevent this from popping up if at all possible.     - Database Results Page Linked to an access parameter query I am trying to create a queryable database results page. I have a parameter query set up in access. The query functions properly when i run it in access, i.e. it prompts me for parameters and returns the correct data based on those parameters. I have linked this query to the page using the Insert > Database > Result feature in frontpage. Clicking a link loads the appropriate document into the frame. Probably your ISP can tell you all you ever wanted to know about chmod
(sp?). You need to check out www.google.com and search for unix and
chmod....
