    - Can't delete mailto: hyperlink My website, done in Front Page 2000, contains a form that customers may use to place orders. When they hit the submit button, it sends the order to me via e-mail. I changed the e-mail address the order goes to. However, when I go to view hyperlink in Front page, it still shows the old mailto: hyperlink as well as the new one. The problem is that I am unable to delete this e-mail hyperlink in View hyperlinks. When select it, FrontPage will not let me delete it. I even want to Reports, view broken hyperlinks, but it is not there, perhaps because it is an e-mail hyperlink. Can you tell me how I may remove e-mail hyperlinks after I change to mailto: e-mail address? Your help would be greatly appreciated.     - Database connection for usename and password which reveals their criteria? Hi, Hoping that someone can help in this matter. Just to explain the scenario so you may understand better. We are an estate agents selling houses. We are encouraging people to register online for e-mail updates. At present it is a simple system by a form that e-mails itself to me and i enter information intoa database. This is going to change. The first bit I have achieved , but the second phase is where I need help. A person will register their information, such as name, contact details and their requirement for houses but selecting it in tick boxes and the areas they are looking to buy in. I get them to enter a password field as well. What I want people to be able to do is to edit their criteria themselves and change their info. So creating a login page where the username is the e-mail address and obviously the password is stored in the database. So when the user enters their e-mail address and password it takes them to a page where they can check and alter their registered information that is stored in the database. This then updates the database record automaticaly. Also giving people the option to delete themselves. Please can anyone suggest the best way of going about this.     - Printing page width I badly need some helpful advice. I have done many websites now, but one of the problems I have is deciding about the width of the site. In some cases I have used tables and set the table width to 800 pixels because I want the site to be fixed and not float around if people stretch or shrink the browser window. In other cases, I like the site to be 100% of the screen and yet look good whether the window is maximised or made smaller. It is often a case of deciding on the design. However, the problem I am having is that when people try to print a website which is of a set pixel size, for example 800 pixels. a lot of text and graphics gets chopped off the right hand side.     - Weird problem, HELPPPPPP! I have a problem using an old Java menu applet called raisedlinks, although I don't think it is the applet, but rather the path I'm using. I'm trying to pull up a menu from the applet for a website I'm working on. I can put in an existing website, and it will pull up fine everytime. The problem comes when I try to open a new htm file from within the applet. I CAN do this if the htm file is on the web somewhere, but I CANNOT do it from my working directory on my pc. I'm merely entering the name in the location such as value="news.htm", but I get an error which reads, "cannot open HTML page nullnews.htm".     - How do I implement a document download web site with FrontPage 200 I have an existing directory structure of document files on the same server where I will publish the website. The top level directories are for each year, then there are sub-directories for each quarter. Inside the directories for each quarter are sub-directories that are named by their corresponding order number such as "12345678-SD850-01". Inside these sub-directories are the document files (pdf, Word, Excel) that I want to make available for download. I want to make this website as simple as possible. I would like the user to only provide the order number (which will match the sub-directory that contains the files for download), then I want to display a page with links they can click to download the files. I have already created the first page that has a text entry box with the submit and reset buttons. That was easy. I am not sure of the best way to proceed for the searching of the directories or how to display the document files for download once I find the directory path. I was hoping that I could do everything within FrontPage, but it is looking like I will need to use ASP, VBScript, or JScript and I am kind of a newbie to this stuff. If anyone has any sample code or can point me to some good sources of info on this type of implementation, it would really be appreciated.     - Installing FP 2000 problems My lad has had to format and reinstall xp. We have the legal FrontPage 2000 cdrom, licence etc etc BUT it won't install properly. We have tried a few times and it takes about 8 hours to install some but gets stuck about 1/4 of the way through. There have been times when it can't find a file on the cd - so we have carefully cleaned it. We have tried installing without the virus checker running too. Any helpful ideas appreciated.     - Frontpage problem with target and frameset Hi, I've got a frameset with two frames...one is a header and the other is the main frame. The idea being that the header has a logo and some interactive buttons in it...that when you click on them they load the various pages into the main frame. What I'm finding is that when I click on one of the interactive buttons, it is ignoring the target frame and loading the new page into the whole browser window...replacing the frameset. I've correctly set the target...the name matches correctly. I've found an article that says that putting a target into the frame definition causes this...and I should remove it. When I go into code view in FP 2003 and remove it and then click on save...it reappears! Two questions... 1) Is this the cause of the problem? (i.e. the target tag in the frameset definition). 2) How can I remove the target tag from the <frame.....> line...without it reappearing when I click on save.     - Logo image not showing up I have created my site and it looks fine when opened with Internet Explorer. When trying to save the file of the internet (I want to email it as a file), I do a "save as" off of Internet Explorer, some, not all, of the Logos (images) disappear and are replaced by the X box (missing file). Are there any additional requirements on this statement? Take for example quite a complex statement like the one above. I've got it by modifying the main part of the proc_FetchDocSearchResults stored procedure in one of my content databases.     - denied access I am a webmaster for a school website. Our school system transferred all school websites to a new server (OS unknown).     - FTP/ I have just completed my first web site, but have not loaded it on to a host provider. There are two separate functions within one of the pages that I need to have working before I go live: 1. Visitor presses button A to download a â??White Paperâ?? to read about new software. If they like it, 2. Visitor fills out a registration form to join a beta program for new software, when complete presses button B to send registration information and activates a download of Beta version of a new software program. My understanding is that I require a â??ftp/cgiâ?? script in order to make this happen. One of the host providers suggested that I visit, â??hotscripts.comâ??. While the fees seem very reasonable, it can be expensive downloading one after another in deciding which one I should be using. I am not certain which one I should be looking at.     - UPDATE database problems Hi, I'm having problems updating a database - i'm bringing the data up fine in a form but am getting in a right pickle trying to update the information.
