    - Disk-based site limit Frontpage98 will not allow e to have more that 17 disk-based ( on my local computer's hard drive ) sites. I have over 100 sites and want them all to be disk-based -- on my computer.     - Query not working in FP I have a query that is working in Access but it doesn't seem to want to work in FP. I know I have everything working correctly as the query works in access, and if I have a simply query (Select * from CallLog) in FP i get the correct results for that query.     - How to add identical text to sveral pages? Hi I have website that uses css to control the look and position of various blocks of content. Some of these blocks contain the same content for every page in the site, eg horizontal and vertical blocks containing links to other pages in the site. It mimics a frames based look without the frames ( I wanted the site to be as Google friendly as possible) Is there a way of implementing the site so that I don't have to type in the text and links in every page?     - Can a form field be automatically written into a web page? I would like to create a FrontPage form to gather information from website vistiors. I think this info. can be sent to me in e-mail; but, can I get a selected field of that information to be automatically written into my webpage without having to cut and paste, etc.?     - php and web components I have a one page that has some php in it (mypage.php) . I have added a web component that includes another file for my footer. My footer shows up in preview, but does not show up in preview in browser and when it is published. The web componet works on all the other pages (otherpage.htm).     - wanting total to be in the hidden table, does not work I have a total box that is in view while the order is being made and want this total to be inserted into the printout page which is stored in a hidden table page. I have tried to use the <div> method but it seems that this line is not correct as the next line which is the last line in the script does not execute. parent.hiddenprinttotal.document.getElementById('theTotal2').innerHTML = adddecimal(ctotal/100); there is a similar line that does execute which updates the total box in the main page... parent.totalcostcell.document.getElementById('theTotal').innerHTML = adddecimal(ctotal/100); this line works all the tables have id's and all are viewed when the index.htm file is viewed. any ideas what I am doing wrong? thank you.     - FP adds extra <body> tags Sometimes when I save a page, FP automatically adds 3 or 4 extra <body> tags to the page. I then end up with multiple shared borders.     - frontpage2002 not able to do office SP3 I have been having problems uploading my website. I have reinstalled frontpage2002 and tried to get the updates but it does not allow me to install Office SP3 I have tried to change the registry entries as shown on the Microsoft site but these do not exist. http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884298 I have installed the software afresh and tried to upload my website but it does not complete. the upload stays up but does not finish the last file. the file it tries is not an issue, I can upload them one at a time by right clicking them and publish the selected files. but using the publish button causes FrontPage to stop uploading files. and times out after ages. I have tried to reinstall it and removed it completely and then installed it fresh but still I can not upload. can anyone suggest something that can fix this. thank you in advance.     - Form data persistent in objects afer population of data from paren This script is contaned in a child window we have no problem getting the correct text ie data to the objects in the form. the problem is we have a exact file saved to the desktop extension is .html when we double click on the desktop the form comes up in another browser and the same infomation text ie data is still in the form IT SHOULD HAVE NO DEFAULT INFORMATION in the form. this means what is happening? Are we getting some kind perstistant with the objects containing the data. Note: both browsers are open and displayed on the screen. What we want is one contains the data passed from the parent window the other should have cleared of information. I feel we need to destroy the objects and variables after populating the first form.     - Form validation opportunity/challenge I need to ensure that if a quantity is entered for a product, then a finish and a package is also selected for that product. If a quantity is not entered for a product, no finish or package should be selected. If no quantities are entered, the form should not submit. PRS is the product recordset. The loop can be 1 to n times. I think this is gonna take client side scripting, and I've googled 'til I need glasses, but no joy.     - Calendar Ideas I'm looking for ideas for a calendar program for a couple of my websites. One site is hosted on a windows2000 server. One site is hosted on a Linux box.     - Redirect to page, based on answer I know how to collect data using FP forms and Access. I know how to collect data and pass it to another ASP. I want to collect data on Page1.asp; when Submit is pressed, the user is taken to Page2.asp where s/he is asked a Yes/No question using option buttons.     - Can't upload file On trying to upload a file, I get the error message below, even though I've allowed uploads to the _private directory in FrontPage. However I can't select the security tab in Explorer properties (as suggested below) because there isn't one. Any ideas on how I can enable write access gratefully received.     - Form to action page I have an order form that is builds a table from a database. It displays a product, an input box for quantity ordered and an option box(finish). The options are the same for each line built, and are hard-coded. Product Quantity Finish 1" nails | | Plain Brass Galvanized 2" nails | | Plain Brass Galvanized 3" nails | | Plain Brass Galvanized When the form is submitted, product and quantity ordered come to the asp action page as (in this example) a 3 element array of request.form, but the options are an array, whose number of elements is the number of them selected.     - Can a parent docoment call a function child window ! useing Frames Can a parent document which is the web page the user is on display a child window which is a form for the user to fill out I want to pass to the child window text information from the parent window that called the child the text is a item number description and price. Can this be done without using the frameset document model. What I want to do is call a function in the child window and pass the data to it.     - Password protect logon database I have followed the guidelines in knowledgebase article 825498 "How to create a password-protected web page...." to create a secure area to my website. This works fine but I now want to password protect my access database however if I do this I am no longer able to access my secure pages. I have used the example scripts in the knowledgebase article with only minor changes for cosmetic purposes. Do I need to add something to the script to allow for a password-protected database or can I not password-protect it. I noticed a reference to username and password in the sample logon.inc file and added my database password but this has not helped.     - discussion page problem I am currently running a discussion page on my web site with over 200 postings. I recently moved all my discussion page files into a folder. I am now having a problem with my discussion page, it is taking all the new posting and started naming the files back from 1 again, insteaded of where it suppose to at 200. So, the new posting are combined with the original posting at that file number. I am trying to find where it had reset the code, so the new posting are filed with the correct number at 200, but I can't find any coding - except for webbot. Any ideas? I try to understand some article that deals with ring0 dll. The author says
that it compiles without the c library to eliminate interfernce with the
main program. Is it possible to do so?

Since its written in c (though with some assembly code inside it) what is
the alternative to c library?

First, this isn't the newsgroup to be asking a question that has nothing to
do with FrontPage on.

Second, as you can't seem to post this question on a correct newsgroup, why
are you fooling with low-level C programming? I hope you're good at
rebuilding your computer.

Third, are you trying to write a device driver, a virus, a Trojan Horse, or
some SpyWare? Or, do you have a virus, a trojan horse, or some Spyware on
your machine?

Fourth, do you work for Carlisle Food Service Products? That is the domain
owner of marko.com.

Last, if you ARE trying to become a hacker, why not try to become a
professional programmer instead? It pays better, and you won't go to jail.
