    - Web Componet Hello, Hope you all have a very happy new year. On to my question. I have created a web component "interactive" office spreadsheet. Everything worked great, and I was able to publish it and access it via I.E. browser, using the PC I created it on. I then tried accessing it on another PC and I got a screen that said Missing: Microsoft Office Web Components. What does this mean? Do all people accessing it need to have web components, and if so where do they get them from or is it something that my web host company needs to have on their server? I am brand new to this stuff, so not exactly sure what this all means. Appreciate any help you can give me. I am using FrontPage2003 and my web host does support MS FrontPage 2002 extensions.     - Can we 'Send Keys' in FP2002? Well, can we? When I was coding VB in some MS Office applications, I learned of the Send Keys feature. I searched for the subject in FP2002 Help, but found nothing. In MyDatabase, there are records with a value for MyVariable. I would like to open a web page, and pass MyVariable for a user-selected record to the opened web page's SearchFuction.asp, but I have had limited luck using Insert>Hyperlink>Parameters to carry MyVariable. What I have so far will carry MyVariable to the target page, and I can get it to properly populate the Text Box, where the user of that page should enter the variable to search. Next however, the user must click the 'Submit Search' control. How can I send a command to simulate the Click of a Control, relieving my user of the extra click? From the target page's Source, I see that <input type="image" name="CheckLicense" SRC="../images/checklicense.gif" ALT="Check License"> That's the control I want to activate, so I use my hyperlink to send values to the target submission text box as follows: http://www2.cslb.ca.gov/CSLB_LIBRARY/License+request.asp? LicNum=<%=FP_FieldURL(fp_rs,"CSLBNumber")%> Is this the right idea? Is Send Keys an option in this case? Is there another (or a better) method?     - Photo Gallery. Question. Please Help ! I am using FrontPage2002....Photo Gallery to display some Photos. As you see in http://www.one-world-trading.com/kitesbig.shtml The Photos are arranged 2 Photos per Row. But as you see it doesnot use the whole width of the webpage thus making the caption width limited. Is the a way to spread out the Images fo it would use the whole width of the web page.     - Problem in using Access queries in Frontpage hello, I use access database for content management. I linked this database with the site using frontpage. Eveything works fine. I can use access tables in the web pages dynamically. The problem is , if I use an access query which uses 3 tables , I get No records returned messages in the web site.     - Blank responses in email I have just published our webpage and the home page has a basic name, address, and message box form on it. I am getting responses sent to my email, but about half of them just have the T1, T2, S1, etc and no info. The others have the requested info and one has no name or address but the message shows. Is this a problem w/ my form or are people not filling in the boxes and just submitting? Any suggestions? My other question is on the html view, there is a line that says: U-Confirmation-Url="confirmation.htm"--><strong> [FrontPage Save Results Component] </strong><!--webbot Does that look right?     - FP2002 is adding unwanted HTML after upgading from98 I have upgraded from FP98 to FP2002. Now FP2002 is adding html code I don't want which is making some of my dynamicanimation hidden. I can edit it out, save the file and make it work ok but as soon as I close and then re- open the file the HTML is back.     - need assistance with Sharepoint default By default a view of my announcements and events should be showing up on my home page. They're not.     - Publish changed pages only option ... ... always uploads the microsoft word documents thinking they have been changed. Is this a known bug? Does not happen with powerpoint, excel files.     - want to stop my popup window from showing more than once. BUT.... at the moment the page opens to ask for name and any feedback about the site, what I intent to do is have the main page then have hello **** welcome back. this part I can add later, the part I really need is to have this page stop opening when they click the submit button that send the info to me. that way they do not keep being asked to submit they name and location details every time they visit the site. the page that opens is a pop up and is a form that collects information, age and gender, location and any other info they wish to give. if you want me to I can send in this forum the html code for someone to amend to achieve this for me. hope someone can help me add a few lines to my html page. thanks Jason Tag: Clients and Webmasters Tag: 29996

    - PHP Code Reformatting... Wrongly! Frontpage, for some reason, thinks it knows more about PHP than I do. I insert a bit of code.. CODE: <img src=<? print("\"{$directoryComics}{$comic[$strip_id]}\" {$dimensions[3]}"); ?>" and it changes it to.. CODE: <img src="<? print("/"{$directoryComics}{$comic[$strip_id]}/" {$dimensions[3]}"); ?>%22" ?>" The first one is perfectly formatted and works fine. However, upon save, Frontpage changes the first line into the second. I am in Code view, and have disabled everything about Intellisense and code formatting I can find. Is there any way to either get it to stop this by turning off an option I just can't find, or a way to insert code literally so that Frontpage doesn't look at it at all?     - <input type="text'.... > ?? (FrontPage 2003) I don't know if anyone has experienced this but.... I have created a very simple form with a about 6 textbox fields on web page. When I preview the page in IE6, some of the input fields have a yellow background and some don't - I'm not using any validation, no scripting, no preloaded textboxes, no styles... I just added the textboxes to the web page and previewed it... I can't find any difference in the textbox definitions from an input box with a yellow background and one a white background...     - Publishing problem - argh!! I have a .gif file with text overlay that will not publish no matter what I try. I have already tried recalculating hyperlinks, cleaning out my cache, and deleting the file and re-adding it to the page. It either shows up as "conflict" or "up-to-date" in the publish web dialog box. Even if I select it and publish it, it remains broken on the web site. Can someone help?     - Access 2000 via web Hello, I have a database that stores my hours worked on a project. Currently I copy the DB and the vb app on a usb thumbdrive. I run a web server, so I was wondering if I could just copy the 3 databases(DataStorage, SettingDB & System.mdw) to my web server. I could then access these via the web. But I am sure how I would address my connections? ODBC? Has anyone done this before?     - Close window button I'd like to put a button on a page that closes that page. The page opens when the user clicks on a hyperlink in another page, and I want to give the user a button (other than, obviously, the x in the upper right hand corner) to close the window automatically.     - Custom Links Bar titles show filename, not Cosmetic title I've created a new linkbar in a shared border. I've "added links" by browsing for the htm files. The buttons are titled with the file names (service_new.htm) rather than the cosmetic Page Propery Name (Services). When using a default linkbar the buttons show the Page Property name of the file.     - Publishing to FP2003 server extensions Hi! I'm using FP2002 to work on a website that was, until today, hosted on a Windows 2000 server, with FP 2002 server extensions installed. They have upgrarded today to Windows Server 2003 and the new FP 2003 server extensions were installed.     - Background picture in a table or cell I'm trying to insert a picture in the background of a table or cell. The "use background picture" is grayed and will not allow putting a path to the image. I can manually enter the path by typing in the code, but that is the hard way. I cannot find where this function is locked. Opening the same web site on another PC using front page can insert a background picture. So the problem must be somewhere in the configuration of FrontPage on this PC.
