 - Launch .bat file from HTML page I need to launch a batch file form a HTML page that runs from a CD. I have tryed to link to it, but that dose not work. Is there a way to do it with JavaScript or VBscript, and will it work without runing from a server. I need to finish this presentation asap, and this is the only thing holding me back. Also If I use a script to do this, where will I stand from a security point of view, I am sure that Internet explorer has restrictions regarding the launching of executables.  - database results hyperlink target frame I've made a database for web links. In the database results table (generated through database results wizard) I have the choice to have the results(http ...) displayed as a link. That part works well, but as I have that page in a frame, it pulls the web page into the same frame. I just can't seem to get the link to open in a new page. How can I set the hyperlink to open in a new page? My guess is it need a query string (new that kind of talk)for the hyperlink address, but everything I've tried ends up worse that the page appearing in the frame.  - Problem with page views? I am using fp2003 and I am having a terrible time lately with pages displaying right. When I am in design mode the page looks just the way I want it to. But when I go and preview it in fp or through ie6 everything is moved to the right so its not all in one viewing screen. What do i need to do to correct the problem? I am thinking of using the internet as a backup method as I have just lost a lot of files 10000's and more I would like to know if I use webspace and store my files online can a web crawler or importing software get my files, none of the files will be linked or have an index file on the webpage, so I believe that I could do this safely, but need it to be confirmed. When I search for an item, the page will go back to the top (where the index is). The user has to scroll down to the results for every search.  - FlashPaper vs. PDF Does anyone have an opinion, pro or con on adding Macromedia FlashPaper2 documents on website instead of PDF files? One big positive in FlashPaper2 is that people would "not" need to have a "viewer" loaded on there PC, like they have to with PDF. FlashPaper2 would load quicker because a viewer doesn't have to be loaded. It may appear more professional to open a FlashPaper2 document instead of having an "Adobe Advertised" viewer displayed while viewer is loading. But then, the nice thing about PDF files is that they can be easily downloaded and shared with others (e-mailed) because they "automatically" open in Adobe Acrobat. The Server Admin needs to create a catalog for your Web or disable Index
Server.
