    - Desktop weblink Problem I used Internet Explorer to create a shortcut on my desktop to a web address. (I am using XP-Pro). When I double-click on the shortcut, instead of going to the web site, it instead goes to my Samsung ML-2250 printer. If I allow the printer to print, it will then print an image of the web site. Hyperlinks from everywhere else, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, MS Word, Outlook, etc, all will activate the default browser and go to the web address that is in the hyperlink.     - File Upload to Multiple Servers I would like to do a file upload to Multiple Servers. I'm in control of all the Servers, so I have a little flexibility in how they operate. I'm able to locate a server by typing an IP address and then that server sends a web page to the browser. I'm then able to initiate a file upload from the computer showing the web page to the server. How can I send this file to multiple servers? Each server will be identical, except for its network settings, such as the IP address. Currently, I use Front Page to develop the file upload from computer to server, but is there a way to do a file upload from computer to multiple servers? How would the internet connections work?     - Conversion function problems i have some fields in an oracle database... the datatype for the fields is number and when i pull up the records they show up in the following format: 3128.87 which is what i want in my asp as well.     - CSS Expanding Children For Nested DIVs I've a bit of a dilemma. I originally had my site setup using tables for design purposes. It worked fine, but reading online more and more about CSS standards relating to FF and IE and especially with IE7 on it's way, I felt it appropriate to eliminate much of the tables (except for listed data) and deal with CSS. Well, dealing I've done, but as it has been claimed that CSS can do anything Tables can, I think I have to beg to differ and hope someone can prove me wrong. :) Problem: 760px container centered in page with 100% height. No problem. 3 DIV children inside container as rows (header, menu, body). In the body, I may have a table dynamically listing data with unknown cell widths and nowrap used and desired. Let's say that table expands to 900px for whatever reason. I would like the container to expand (which it does), but so too the other children DIVs (which don't). It was my expectation that all children DIVs without any specified CSS tags (such as float or width...) would fill the container wide-ways. I've seen a lot of liquid CSS designs out there with columns expanding and contracting based on %, but I haven't been able to see anything like this.     - FP2003 site -face lift Good Morning, I hope everyone is doing well today. Our website has been online for maybe more than 5 years and we're finally giving it a face-lift. The site is a technical resource for a lot of our customers. Nothing really flashy about the site but we are giving it a new look. We have the headings and general look that we want for all the pages. We've got maybe 1 layer of the site done. Now we want to take the existing pages and apply the new look to it. What is an easy way to do this? On the 'old site' we used a front page theme that is used throughout the site. Now that we have a new look and it isn't a frontpage theme, we had a designer do it for us, we'd like to somehow give the rest of the pages the new look. Is there an easy way to do this? I'm not sure if I can make the new look into a theme and then apply it to all the pages? Please advise. Thanks!     - Flyout Menu problems, Help! I have started to revise my website. I have some flyout menus that I can't seem to make work properly. On my current website I used the same process and the menus are nice and stable, but on the new website I downloaded the updated behaviors and the menus flicker while my mouse moves over the main menu button.     - Different Bcground Image based on screen resolution Hello: I am trying without success to have a different background image displayed in a single cell based on a viewer's screen resolution. Some of the earlier posts discussed changing background image of the whole page for different resolutions. But I must find a way to do the same in a single cell. If this is impossible and I must use the same background image for all screen resolutions, then I need to find a way to have Front Page cut not the right but the left side of the background image in this cell. For some reason it cuts the right side of the image and keeps the left side fixed. Thank you very much for any advie you can give!     - Help with dev tool and language selection (or coding) - New to programming I have a problem that I have to solve programmatically and since HTML is pretty much the only code I have been exposed to I need an advice on how to develop the programmatic solution to the problem I have. In the nutshell, it'd be great if you can give me guidance in terms of: 1) What programming language to use 2) What development tools to use 3) Tips on how to code the solution So, here is my challenge: I have a flat text file, 30000 records, each record has two columns, the columns are tab separated. The file looks like this (approximately) Sarajevo 431104-133111 Mostar 441242-133421 Zagreb 432322-134423 The first value is a name of a town, and the second value represent longitude-latitude in degrees, minutes and seconds. For each record I have to create an html file that will be named as the name of the town (i.e. Sarajevo.html). The content of the file will be rather simple; in the first row it will contain the header (i.e. "This page displays longitude-latitude information") - The second row will have the following word: "Grad" - and the third row will contain the name of the city and the fourth row will have the longitude-latitude info. The program also needs to prompt me (before it starts spitting the html pages) and ask what test should be entered in line one (I would than manually enter "This page displays longitude-latitude information") and it also need to prompt me about the text that should be entered in line two (I'd go and manually enter "grad"). I'd greatly appreciate any coment and/or guidance. It works perfectly fine if the field name is not changed from the one automatically given by frontpage.     - How do I ensure pages at lower resolutions will still fit into the screen? Hi, I've been bothered this problem for a long time and still could not find a best way to ensure that pages (using FrontPage) developed at a higher resolutions (e.g. above 1024 x768 with a larger screen, e.g. 17") will be fit into a screen at a smaller screen (e.g. 15") with a lower resolution (e.g. 800 x 600). Pages are not using frames but with a table of several columns and rows. The entire table is set to 100% and works perfect on higher resolutions and large screens. But when viewing with lower resolutions and smaller screens, all texts on the right column will be scrambled and the top menu will be squeezed to a second line.     - checking users emails using forms Hi We have a FrontPage form that potential customers fill in before getting to our downloads section on our website. We then get an email from 'me' that contains the data typed in by the user. At the moment any 'rubbish' info can be typed in and they will still get to the confirmation page that contains the download links. I would like to have a 'method' of guaranteeing that the emails used are genuine. Many websites I have used need the correct email so that the download link can be emailed, which would be fine for us. Is it possible? I have considered setting up outlook express as an autoresponder, but as the emails come from 'me' rather than the user this would not work. Searching the net I have found references to using asp but it seems to have the content of the email on the page code, so surely all the person would need to do is view source to see the downloads link? However when the site is accessed from the internet the "ADODB.Connection" is not created. The site is running on a 2003 server, the anonymous user is set to an account which has administrator rights and it still will not work. We have tried running in iis isolation mode 5 and 6 which makes no difference at all. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.     - Form trouble I am using a couple of forms on a website. I've been using them for quite a while and they have orked properly until a couple of days ago. I haven't changed anything in the code and the server-side did not change anything they tell me, but still all users are now getting this error message: FrontPage Error.     - FP form confirmation page I have set up a form to send information to a database using FP2003 and ASP. everything is working, the data is being written to the database everything is wonderful !!!....EXCEPT somehow in trying to add a hidden field I am now getting info on the auto generated confirmation page that is showing the "Submit" button name and value. Its not listed as a hidden field, Its not being sent to the database table and I cant figure out how to get rid of it. Does anyone have any ideas where I should be looking to correct this.     - FTP Problem I have always successfully made any necessary changes to my site using Frontpage, but just lately I have been getting this message when trying to update my site: "Could not find a web server at 'uploads.webspace.freeserve.com' on port 21." I am trying to find a way to code inside a html page to extract one row of data from the xml file and display it inside one of the cells of a table. To select a particular row of data, each webpage will have its own built-in value to point to that row. Example: Each row in the xml file has four columns of data, as follows: variety_number, value_1, value_2, value_3 In each of html files, an unique variety_number is to be "hard-wired" and is used to extract the three values from the row whose variety_number matches the html file's variety_number. That can happen if you have serious errors in your HTML.
