    - Layout Table On a dynamic web template page I have a layout table which has a cell at the top which contain a page banner. When I insert the banner and format it the text "Add this page to the navigation to display a page banner here]" sets the size of the cell. I cannot make this cell any smaller because the formatted "[ Add this page ...] text will not allow this. Now when I actually base web pages on this template, because the page names are a lot shorter the cell is too large. I have a border around the text and it looks stupid. What can I do?     - If Else Buttons Hi, I'm trying to put a button on a form that opens a form if someone types a word in that matches the contents of a field in a record but if the word doesn't match, it displays a different form. Any ideas? I'm basically trying to make a user and password entry which will take the user to a form if their password is correct but won't open the form if they enter the wrong password or user name.     - WEBBOT 'Include Page' causing problems At the top of all my web pages is a small 2x2 'header' table. The top row has a company logo in one column and the company name in text in the other column. The second row contains a FrontPage 'include page' that is nothing more than another table (2x5) containing links to other pages on my web site. It has been this way for many years and was working fine until I made minor text changes to one of the pages. The 'include page' HTML code is as follows; <TD></TD> What is now happening is that ALL of my web pages display double 'header' tables at the top of each page, and you can see '../menu.htm' as plain text in the second 'header' table. If I remove the 'include page' (../menu.htm), only one 'header' table is displayed at the top of each page (which is normal). The 'menu.htm' file has not been altered in any way. If I put the 'include page' above the 'header' table, the table displays correctly, however, the plain text '../menu.htm' appears above the table. My ISP said they recently performed some Microsoft server updates, and that the updates may have affected the FrontPage Server Extensions.     - Subwebs...Is this what I'm looking for? (long) I have read the help for subwebs and *think* this is what I'm wanting to do but need some help and have some questions. I have a website for our church's youth group posted online. The church has since asked for a page for the church in general (I've made this as a file under the index.htm for my youth group web) as well as a page for the children's ministry. Now they are wanting the church's page to be the first one found (home page) when going to www.htbc.info with the youth group and children's ministry as their own pages underneath that. Since I've focused all my work on the youth group page and it has many pages under it, all linked to the welcome page for the youth group as the home page I'm wanting to keep it as a separate web but under and connected to the church's page. It sounds as though creating the youth group site as a subweb under the church (with the children's ministry as a possible other subweb as well). Is this right? OK, assuming that's what I want to do, should I create a new website for my church and then try to merge the two together? Also, I have gone to Tools and the Server link is greyed out so I cannot follow the directions I found under the Help menu. I seem to have lots of questions and I hate to bother you all here with them (I'm learning Frontpage on my own and by trial and error - mostly error! *grin*). Is there a good reference book that I could buy that would help me? I don't do well with online help but prefer a hard copy book to work from.     - Problem with ASP.NET (aspx files) I need to include some aspx pages in an existing FrontPage web. The web uses themes and navigation bars generated by the FrontPage navigation view I am able to "import" the asp.net app into the FrontPage web. In the FrontPage designer view the "features" are all there ( nav, theme) but when I view these pages in a browser they don't appear - just the content of the .aspx pages. I managed to make most of them work except for the last step of adding new registrant to the database and return for an "anewmember.asp" This is basically how those codes works: (1) Login.asp: Login screen for registered user to type in their ID and password. Data will be sent to "Member.mdb" for verification. If passed, it will redirect to another page. If not, it will return to the registration form again. This part has no problem. There are sample data in the database, and if I typed the correct one, I will be directed to the protected page. If not, I will be redirected to another registration form. ***I guess this meant that the database - Member.mdb can be read if I can check on its data*** (2) Signup: This is the problem. After filled out registration form and pressed "Submint," it will be redirected to a "Confirm.asp" where user can confirm all information and if right, click "Confimr" to process the data and upon completion, an "anewmember.asp" will be displayed.     - Drop down box retains last selected value I am trying to create a drop down box that when the user comes to the website, the drop down boxes values are the last values that the user selected. My website is published on Geocities and it seems like Frontpage functionality on some things are limited. The only way that I have found so far to do this is using a javascript that I found that uses cookies. This works great, until the user logs in from another computer. Problem is when I click on it the browser opens Excel with the file as a template instead of as an Excel file. I don't want the users changing the template I want Excel to function in the way it normally does when you double click on a template in windows explorer.     - SQL UPDATE problem with FP database wizard I'm trying to do an SQL UPDATE on an Access database using the FP database wizard. The database connection is working OK, using the wizard to do lookups works fine. The SQL query I'm putting into the wizard is: UPDATE users SET activated = 1 WHERE (user = ::user::) ::user:: is a form field "user", which I have tried passing to the page containing this script using both GET and POST. However, all I get is this error: Database Results Error Your page contains a query with user input parameters that could not be resolved. This could happen if your DatabaseRegionStart webbot has an empty or missing s-columnnames or s-columntypes attributes. You may need to read Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 817029. Article 817029 refers to FrontPage 2003, which I am NOT using, I'm using FrontPage 2002, and the server is Windows 2000 SP4 running the default FP server extensions, I haven't upgraded them.     - FP 2003 Slower than 2002 I've recently upgraded to FP 2003 from 2002 and when I type content in Design View there is a few seconds delay before the letters appear. This never happened with the earlier version. Even though I eventually see all that I've typed the few second delay drives me nuts. The larger the file/page the longer the delay. - neither batch files or VBA are supported on the web

The web uses JavaScript client side and higher level languages (ASP/PHP) server side
