    - Site Check to see if it is loading I would like for someone to check and see if my site loads correctly. It loads just fine for me but my two sons say that it doesn't work for them. They say it is slow and that they are having problems viewing the picture directories. I don't know why it works for me and not for them.     - Installation help from Microsoft Just how frustrating can Microsoft be? I want to install my Frontpage 2000 upgrade which was installed on a previous machine. Never on this one. Naturally, it won't install because it doesn't see any qualifying product on my hard disk. The obvious solution is to either buy a new Frontpage or try Microsoft's web sit to get online help. Would you believe that the online maze demands product ID before proceeding to the contact stage. Product ID by the way is only visible to those who have already installed the product, not to those who want product help. Does anybody know a way around this impasse. Thanks.     - Removal of Background I started out with an ivory background. I then added a marble image background which looks great on my computer. When I upload this to my site it shows the ivory background. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this problem but to no avail. The ivory was not an image but the marble is.     - unable to delete file Hi: I am trying to delte a file that was copied from the web into a Frontpage website. I am trying to delete it using Windows Explorer and Frontpage but I can't get rid of it. It was associated originally with an Amazon.com web component (their honor system tipping area for blogs). This created a jpg file. When I try to delete it, windows says "windows can not find the file." However, I can see it there and can't kill it. It's screwing up the republishing of my web because Frontpage trips over the file. I also can not even delete the folder it is in.     - Publishing Server Error I'm getting a strange error when I try to publish my website: It says the page in question "has been modified by (unknown) on 31 Dec 1969" - when I try to delete the file. It makes the same error with another file. This seems to happen only when I don't publish pages for a few months.     - Universal textbox I am trying to get a number to appear in different pages of my web without using a shared border, etc. For example, if I change a number in a text box on one page, I want the number on the rest of the pages to change (Like what a formula in excel would do.)     - animated gif display problem I have a FP 2000 web site. I added a small animated gif which displays fine when I preview it but when I publish the web.. nothing is there. I tried it on another system and I could see it fine. I though it might be my Norton Internet Security blocking it but I disabled it and still no luck.     - database question first i want to say thanks for answering my questions when i post them u guys are great!! heres the question... i made a form page and sent results to a fp database which i created through the wizard. it spit back the name new_page_4.mdb and put it in the fpdb folder. When i try to open it access starts to load, then i get this error: "Unrecognized database format C:\Documents and settings\Owner\MyDocuments/WeAreColumbia\fpdb\new_page_4.mdb I have access 97 installed.     - Deleting files with ASP Hi, I am using FP 2000 on IIS4/NT. I have an asp script that creates some files from a database. It writes from a private subfolder ( _folder) to a subfolder of the private subfolder ( _folder/folder). It will work once, but once the files are in there, I can't run the script again and overwrite them. I get a "permission denied" error. If I go in and manually delete the files, it will work again. Neither the programmer or my ISP can figure out what is wrong. The only other thing I can think of is a FrontPage quirk. Does anyone have any ideas on this?     - formatting cells Formatting cells and tables compared to regular tables. When I add a formatting cell it saves any borders or shading, corners as a gif. Every time I modify it ex; stretch it to fit the growing page it saves it again and again and again. Get the idea......so now I have a folder full of images.     - Improper Display In IE6 and FP2002 I am using Win XP Pro and Frontpage 2002. The preview pane of Frontpage, as well as IE6 display of a web site does not agree with the display shown in the normal view of these pages. Netscape 7 displays these properly.     - Buttons I am using FP2003 and it has some fairly nice buttons, LOL, but I can make better, which is not the problem to add to Buttons folder. The problem is getting FP to see them in the Interactive Buttons popup. There has to a dat file or txt file or something in FP that tells what buttons are available.     - Distribute Web on CD I'm attempting to copy my web site from my home computer to the office. I've followed the commands to use a CD creator program to copy the hard disk to CD and then use xcopy to load to my work computer. I can't seem to get it to work. Do I need to create an empty web on the hard disk to copy the file to??? -- I've actually tried this and it doesn't seem to work. I've also tried not creating one and then the command prompt asks me if I'm asking for a file or directory??? If I use a CD/RW, can I just use the regular publish command like works for a floppy.     - Images stretched/squished in slideshow I am using java script for slideshow, but FP fixes the frame size to that of the first image, so all subsequent images not having the same size are stretched or squished. Even after deleting the frame size in Notepad or FP, FP automatically reinstates the frame size, there does not appear to be a way around it.     - Still getting an error trying to connect to Access DB on web I posted this message several days ago and someone suggested that the error was because someone else had the db open exclusively. That's not the case here, since I'm the only one currently using this db. I'm hoping someone might have some other ideas about what might be going on. I'm trying to connect to an Access DB on my web site. I used FrontPage 2000's Database Results wizard, but the page it built just doesn't have the features I need, so I've started setting up a page by hand.     - navigation bar I am trying to sell a service on the Net (12 pages of documentation). I have used FrontPage 2000 to create my web. Everything was OK until I realized the following: My web has got only 2 levels: The Home page on the first and all the other pages on to a second level. Obviously, the Home page contains the hyperkinks to the other pages. On the Home page, I created a "pay button" downloaded from the net to process a one off payment and then re- direct the visitor on to the second page to start surfing my web. But, I have just realized that on the navigation bar every page contains a link back to the Home page. which means that any visitor who, after having paid, would hit the Home button would have to pay again to visit the site. I want to add 1 catagory and have this reflect on all 300 files. How do I do this?
