    - [SP Designer] Create custom list form Hi All, I've followed Microsoft KB, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointdesigner/HA101191111033.aspx#1, on how to create custom list form with SPD, but at the last part of the article when I change the NewForm.aspx to MyNewForm.aspx and running the list, I see that still he NewForm.aspx is showing and not mine. When I checked the list properties, I see that it discarted my changes. I've done it twice but same reaction. Any thoughts how to over come it?     - Problems view my page & Not able to publish selected pages my website was working fine until i tried fixing the navigation link menu. The page used to look fine on my FP and the website, but then it only looked correct on FP. the website did not display the menus. I tried to fix the problem on FP, but now I can not even see the pages. When I select the page I only can see the Web site tab which views the remote server. I can not see the pages and therefore can not edit my pages. I also cannot select a page to publish. When I select the File from the menu, the following items are greyed out.     - Local Server? I have a need to be able to view my FrontPage web creations, during the design and creation phase, on my local PC, not only in MSIE, but in Opera, FireFox and Netscape. But, FF, Opera and Netscape do not render HTML material correctly on my local PC. I have to move it to an Internet server, to get FF, Opera and Netscape to see if there are any differences between those and how MSIE renders the code. Experimenting live on Internet is not a wise method. Visitors will see the evolving, non-functional stuff. I only want them to see the finished, polished, functional stuff. So, I have been wondering ho hard it is to set up a local server ( or costly to have someone else do it and keep it maintained). I do not like techy things. I have all my FrontPage webs on drive E;/ of my local PC. Do any of you have server software running on your local PC to accomplish what I am seeking? Is there a simple way of doing this?     - Access Code for form submission I have a form that has the visitor fill in his name and contact info along with a text box for his comments. The form results are sent to me as an emal.     - Webbot bot=search I am trying to use the Webbot bot=search bot in FrontPage 2003 and have a few questions. Is it possible to modify the results of the bot to be specific font and size? Also, how do you go about minimizing your search so you do not pick up your old test files?     - FrontPage and pdf and graphic files I have a pdf file that I link to so users can then read, print or save the file. In FrontPage when I use Alt-Click to follow the hyperlink Adobe Reader opens the file. However when I "preview in browser" after saving the page the link does not work. The cursor changes to the finger when I position adobe the link, but clicking does not open Adobe in a new window or otherwise. I have tried with old files, new files and still the same result. I have tried opening in a new window or not, and still there is nor response in the browser. The only way it works perfectly is in FrontPage and using the Alt-Click to follow the hyperlink. I also have a problem with inserted graphics not showing in the browser, even though the file is in the images folder. Have tried jpg, gif and png; Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, -- W.G.     - Editing an Exisiting Website Hi- I am having issues editing a specific page on my website (http://templates.haleymail.com/haley_templates/index.smpl?arg=opt_in&aid=510&database=referral) using FrontPage. I did not design the website, so I really don't know anything about it.     - emailing a sample page Hello. I haven't used frontpage a lot but I've put together a web page using FP 2003 but haven't yet published it. I'd like to send an email via outlook of what I've put together for a colleague to look at and I do this using the FILE -- SEND option. My problem is that when I do this all the images in the page are lost as they are saved on my hard drive.     - Remote Sites - Vista and FrontPage 2003 Since upgrading to Vista, I have an interesting problem when editing a site remotely, as opposed to locally. While logged into, and updating, the site remotely, if I go to the menu and "Insert > Picture" or "Insert > File" the resulting pop-up dialog box will open up for browsing your local machine, but WILL NOT allow you to browse the directory structure on the remote server, where you are working.     - CSS and Firefox I've just learned that although my webpages show up fine in IE, they do not show properly in Firefox. The problem appears to me that that some of the CSS is "invisible" to Firefox. I opened a page in Firefox with Firebug, so I could see the CSS that it was reading from, and it does not see, for example, the "body {.etc., etc.}" rules. It does see some other things.     - Problems creating user accounts in Frontpage 2003 I'm trying to set up a sub-domain on my website with separate permissions, but whenever I try to add a user to the account I get a message that says "The maximum number of user accounts for this virtual server has been reached" and it goes on to say that the quota needs to be increased. I called my host provider (godaddy) and they say that is a setting on my end that I need to change, while I'm pretty sure they need to change something in there front page extensions. I have found the 2003 upgrade CD and the 2000 FP printed manual... and a very old set of original disk for MS Office.     - How do I add a new top level home/topage/index.htm in Frontpage 2000? I've got a website that was developed by others. It's done in Frontpage 2000 and I have 2000 installed and the website on my C: drive. I also have a test location where I can publish the page to see the effects of my changes. It appears they used navigation bar (on the left site). Pretty simple, just a bunch of buttons displaying pages with pictures and text. I need to add a new top level page to the site for an upcoming promotion. The page will be simple, a few pictures and text and a button that will then enter into the main site. How do I do this in FP2000? I've tried Navigation and "new top page" but it puts the top page next to the existing page but I really want it on top.     - Publish transfer rate question This may not be an FP issue. I run FP2003 on Windows XP. I have a hiking website that is picture intensive. Whenever I publish a hiking trip report, I upload (publish) 40-50 pictures at a time. I notice that the initial transfer rate is around 5 KB/s and then slowly increases in the next couple of minutes to around 50 KB/s.     - Boolean fields and SQL Database I have a FrontPage 2003 application form that feeds into a SQL table. Everything works great except on my custom confirmation page where Yes/No questions appear as True/False. Is there a way to change the confirmation page to display Yes if the answer is True and No if it is false? I've tried changing the code in the form using a dim statement but it isn't working.     - PRoblem showing a looping video I have read several of the posts on videos in websites. However, I still have a problem understanding why a simple video will not work in a website. I have a couple of short videos that I would like to have on my website and set so when the visitor clicks on the video starts and loops just as a slideshow automatically starts when the visitor clicks on. The videos are up to 7MB in size and are .avi format. When I preview in browser, the videos work fine - just the way I would like to have them function. But on the web they do not appear. I figured it out the the FrontPage discussion group should answer questions
about SPD. Is that so? if so, Maybe it will be a good idea to change the name
to Front Page/Designer or maybe to open a new one for SPD.
