If the client would like a specific song played when users are viewing
their pages are there any kind of laws that stop you from using other
people's music on your website?

If so does anybody have any specific links to further information
about this.

Many Thanks
:-)

The client might like the song playing, but who says the visitors do?

Hi

Thanks all. You are right about users not wanting to hear music - but
it is just something which interested me. A website which I use quite
a lot plays the tune of a popular song, from the 80s I think. It adds
character to the website and it makes me want to stay on the website
and browse around it more.

I must say it is unusual, but it made me think it might be
straightforward to get permission to use music?

;-)

Hi you have to pay organozations such as ASCAP, BMI to get a license
to use commercial music on your website. This may cost a lot of money
and take time. Instead you can rent music from a Royalty Free Music
Library. Music license for website will cost you around 40 euro and
you will be able to use the track the next moment.

Visit www.themusicase.com for high quality royalty free online music
licensing.

Best Regards
