Our company website was created in FrontPage. We do not have FP but need to
edit our site. How can we convert FP files to standard HTML for use by
DreamWeaver or some other TEXT/HTML editor?

Thanks!

It is already standard HTML... However there is no auto conversion for features / functions that
require the FP extensions, such as forms, navigation, which will have to be redone manually.

I have been maintaning. I would be curious as for the reason for the software
move? Although Dreamweaver is an excellent package. Just curious, Thanks!

Thomas- I have been openeing the .HTML files with 'Notepad' and 'CoffeeCup'.

Sid- I am familiar with 'DreamWeaver' but not 'FrontPage' (do not even own
FP and since it's been discontinued, doesn't make sense to buy & learn it
now).

Ronx- Apparently, I am looking at the wrong files then. These were the only
.HTML files I could find.
Where does FP store the .HTML web pages, how does FP organize the files of a
web site?
(I'm used to all the .HTML files in the root dir. including additional
folders for 'images', 'PDFs',
'scripts', etc.)

PS: I used FileZilla to download the files from our ISP server.

Thanks everyone for your help!
Terry

The "How files are organised in FrontPage" table
(http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/tests/FP-Folders.htm) was extremely helpful
and answers my original need. Now that I know how the files of a FrontPage
website are organized, it appearss that I didn't get all the files when I
downloaded.

Thanks all for your concern and this valuable info.
