    - Interactive Buttons / Bookmarks I am using FrontPage 2003 I have a web page for all of our Companies Forms divided in Department tables. Approximately 10 tables all on one page - Each table has anywhere from 6 - 25 forms listed in the table. The first line in each table is the deparment name. The following lines list the forms and their names. I bookmarked the first line of each table with the Dept name. I added Interactive buttons at the top of the page - each one hyperlinked to a department table. After each table I added a "Return to Top" button. Everything appears to be working OK. But I would like to know if there is a way to make the table always appear at the top of the screen. What I mean is as each table is called by the Hyperlink, I want the first line to be at the top of the screen. Right now some of the tables, when called by the hyperlink, appear in the middle of the screen. Do I have any control over this??? Can anyone help me or at least point me in the right direction?     - Designing for wide screens I've inherited the job of maintaining a Front page 2003 Website with no prior FP experience. My server workstation has the traditional monitor. On this site, I tried to add a "New" attention image to the CITA service order request. It is where I want it on the preview. When I get back to my own computer with 20" wide screen it is askew. Also if you click on Contact us from that same page, the building image is off center in widescreen but centered on normal screens.     - FrontPage 2003 constantly prompts for username and password I am unable to publish my web site, as FrontPage keeps prompting me for my username and password, even though I have already entered them correctly. My web hosting server accepts FrontPage extensions and I have set the User Authentication setting in IE7 to prompt for a username and password. I selected the FrontPage option on the Remote Web Site Properties page and my remote web site location is correct. As soon as I click on the OK button, the username prompt appears.     - Help with frontpage error, report error to webmaster/dreamweaver All- I desperatley need help. My website is set up to use front page with ms servers, but the editor i use most is dreamweaver becasue my site is set up to use templates. (.dwt) which I mostly work in dreamweaver, but create my new forms using the front page form genrator- I can get these working just fine on my development server, but when posted to the live site it always gives me the fp error agin. I have been through renaming the .csv file, or text file, renaming the forms, putting them in different _private folders etc, everyhting that ms tells me to try. It always never works. It always gives an error. Also, once I pull the form back into fp after working on it in dw- it rewrites the form code, to be _derived/norbots.htm, and then I have to repaste the correct form code in again. I have a particualr form that I have just created completly from scratch, I had this working writing to a text file, but changed it to csv file, and it has broken again.... Has anyone expirenced this issue? Is there any work around this? I have done everything I can think of, even creating a new results file through fp, and saving it as a csv file.     - "Could not find a web server on port 80" A few months ago I began receiving an error message when trying to open my website to edit. "Could not find a web server at www.cpacinc.org on port 80. Please check to make sure that the web server name is valid and your proxy settings are set correctly...." I had not changed anything recently, the message just started popping up one day. My web host company said to reinstall front page extensions, which I did, but the problem persisted. Suddenly, one day, everything started working fine again. Now today, the same message has been popping up as well as messages about missing files. Sometimes the files open, sometimes the web page opens and other times, I get the error message. I have my website with all the links in the navigation bar, but I can't add sub links to one of the tabs.     - Milo: Background shows live on net but not in design or preview mo I changed the background graphic on a webpage from one jpg to another. I continue to see the old jpg background in both Design mode and Preview mode, but I also get a message saying, "To view all elements in this page correctly, save or publish the page and preview it in a browser". Sure enough, live on Firefox and IE, it looks right, but it makes programming tougher because the background affects where I want to put text (not where a certain pattern would make it hard to read on the left, for instance). There must be a way to fix this, since I'm still seeing the old graphic...which is referenced no place that I can find in the HTML!     - Displaying swf files I read the archives on this subject but still have some questions. I work in support stafffor Univ. of Delaware and inherited responsibility to maintain current Web site without having any real training in that area so I am in OTJT. We have Windows 2003 Server and FP 2003. The sub Website in question is: http://www.rec.udel.edu/poultryextension/new_page_3.htm I have had our IT dept in main campus convert 6 PowerPoints to swf files. On my PC XP (not server) where I have Flash Player, Shockwave and Adobe CS3, I was not able to view the final swf files. They came to me with that generic program icon. Only in Bridge could I view them. Now, on our server, with FP 2003 I want to provide visitors with the capability to easilty view these six presentations. There is no Adobe software other than reader installed on the Server. Right now, you will see the six presentations as PowerPoints but many folks cannot view these properly which is why we requested flash swf files in the first place. Now that I have the swf - what do I need to do with them? Will viewers need to have flash plyer or shockwave player to view? Is there a way to download the required player automatically or will I need to provide the install link separately. Why could I not see them on my own computer.     - web site Development Hello, I only intend to "display" data on the website that currently resdes on my excel file. i.e. users will not download the data displayed on the website but only read it as displayed. Hence I was curious to know if the Excel file can still be used as a database(using ODBC drivers then using database result wizard) Please review and advise if it is okay to use Excel to only "display" data and how to do that.     - Reinstalling Frontpage 2002 I have a new computer, OS Microsoft XP. I need to reinstall FrontPage 2002. I cannot get it to accept product key on the back of the CD case; the message either says the product key is wrong (it's the one PRINTED on the case) or it cannot find the CD if I pursue the options.     - link bar problems I seem to be having trouble getting my link bar to work. I am using Frontpage 2003. When i open my website using frontpage the link bar isn't there, the only thing that appears is the "+ add link". which means the link bar is actually there but why can't i see the tabs. I'm managing a website that has frequent page additions and deletions, and the site could really benefit from a custom 404 page.     - <body> tag duplicate For some reason Frontpage adds a second <body> tag in the code of my Frontpage. What happens is that the body of the webpage is duplicated. When I create a page, I have to go to the code page and delete the duplicate <body> tag to prevent that. If I open a previous page that has already been created, I have to delete the extra <body> tag before saving. If I don't delete the extra <body> tag it will duplicate each time I open it. If I open it for editing four times, I will have 4 <body> tags and when it is published, I will have four pages of the same thing and you won't be able to read it. I have searched for a solution to this but haven't found one. Microsoft talks about a duplicate <body> tag but states it ignores the second one but it doesn't ignore it. It must be in the template in Frontpage but haven't figured out how to fix this. Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance. Two choices:

& g e ; or & # 8 8 0 5 ;

Without the spaces. Spaces were included because some newsreaders and
browsers would display the symbol, rather than the code. See
