Hi all,

I have an Exchange 2000 server that I wish to remove from my
organization. But when I try it in System Manager, I get the message
that users still have mailboxes in the server. I've looed at every
user in AD, but they all seem to have their mailboxes on the new
Exchange 2003 server.

Also, a colleague of mine deleted the database files (priv1.edb, .stm)
after the migration of mails to the new server, so I don't have any of
those.

My question is, how do I find out who has their mailboxes in this
missing database? Is there any other way of forcing the server out of
the organization? We have a small organization and none of the users
are missing a mailbox.

Using the Active Directory Users and Computers MMC, you can search for
Exchange users. Search by store or by server and see who has mailbox data
listed as being on that server.

Was this the first Exchange 2000 server in your environment?

If so, you may want to look at KB307917
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=307917
