Hey everyone,

We are running a Win2k3 domain and Exchange 2003 w/sp2. We are a Univ. and
in light of what happened at Virginia Tech University the other day EVERYONE
is talking about how to communicate with students in an emergency.

Is there a way in Exchange 2003 to send text (SMS) messages to cel phones?
When I try to send some test emails I get the following kick back:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

5555555555@cingularme.com on 4/17/2007 10:05 AM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's
email server. Please contact your system administrator.
<WTWM2.mydomain.edu #5.5.0 smtp;550 5555555555@cingularme.com>
has restricted SMS e-mail

Is there something we have to do on the Exchange side? I know that not all
students well have text messaging on their cell phones, this is just an
option that we are looking at.

TIA,

Clayton

P.S.: I wrote an iTunes podcast tutorial and just want to publicize it.

The last line of that status message seems to indicate that it's a
problem at the other end:

<WTWM2.mydomain.edu #5.5.0 smtp;550 5555555555@cingularme.com> has
restricted SMS e-mail
