Thank for the link. It does work and at the same time I noticed the email of
Michael@abc.com still usable in sending and receiving mail as
Michael@team.abc.com. How do I stop the Michael@abc.com account been
functioning as I want only Michael@team.abc.com to be able to work.I removed
the SMTP address of Michael@abc.com from the A.D users but still no luck.
Thanks

Open the Recipient Policy again.
Set the new SMTP address as Primary.
If you want to remove the old domain completely you can do that now too.
If it asks you if you want to apply to all users, say yes. if it doesn't,
right click the policy and say Apply Now. Say yes to applying to all users.
Jump up one folder to Recipient Update Services, right click the RUS
services and Update Now.
Wait a bit.
