 - ADC between one Exchange 5.5 organization and Multiple Domains Here is my scenario: I'm running Exchange 5.5 and Active Directory in mixed mode with two one-way Active Directory connection agreements, one from Exchange to AD and another from AD to Exchange. We only have one Exchange org with one site and the AD has only one domain, which makes administration very simple. We are adding a second domain to our AD, but the mailboxes are going to be created in the existing Exchange organization. My question is how to best create or modify the AD connection agreements between the two. We currently have one one-way AD connection agreement to replicate the Exchange site to the existing AD domain. So when the new mailboxes are created in Exchange, the connection agreement is going to create a disabled NT account in the existing domain and not the new domain. Do I need to modify the existing connection agreement from Exchange to not replicate the entire site and specify the recipient containers individually? And then create a new recipients container for the new mailboxes, and create a second AD connection agreement to replicate this container to the new domain?  - Information Store won't start , version 5.5 Fresh install of Win 2K Server and Exchange Server 5.5. SP 3 applied to ES, all current SPs applied to Win 2K. Followed steps to import 'old' information stores from a previous install of Exchange Server on the same computer. Ran: eseutil /p /ispriv eseutil /g /ispriv eseutil /p /ispub eseutil /g /ispub isinteg -patch System Attendant will start, Directory Service will start, Information Store will not start. Error 1105 is returned. Spent 14 hours working on this to no avail. Hair pulled out. Customer fuming. Who will save my career?  - Install Exchange 2000 into Exchange 5.5 site. Hi All. I am currently migrating from Exchange 5.5 to 2000/2003 and have a small question which I need answering. I am aware that if you wish to move mailboxes from an Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 server that you need to install the new Exchange 2000 server into the same site as the Exchange 5.5 server. Do you also need to install the new server into the Default Administrative Group, or can you create a new Administrative Group for the new Exchenge 2000 server? I would like the migration to go as smoothly as possible, so any help would be greatly appreciated.  - Additional address in Exchange 5.5 At present I have an "Internet Mail Service" configured to accept emails from the ISP that ends with "company.co.ae" and all the recepients addresses end with the same (@company.co.ae). Now, the ISP is changing the domain name to "company.ae" which requires me to have an additional SMTP address for every recepient that ends with "company.ae" How can I generate the new addressed for all recepients so that when an email is received either from "company.co.ae" or "company.ae" it should be receieved my the recepients?  - OMA Logon/Logout Screen. I have two questions regarding Outlook Mobile Access. 1) Is it possible to modify the logon screen so that it includes our domain name? Currently we have to enter "Domain/User". We are looking for a way to have "Domain/" already there when the page loads. 2) Is there a way to logout?  - Cannot see contacts in Exchange 2003 OWA Hello! I just installed the release candidate of SBS 2003 with Exchange 2003. I was using Outlook 2002 with a PST file holding my mail and contacts. I set up an Exchange mailbox and imported my Inbox and Contacts folders (and sub-folders for the contacts) from the PST to my Exchange mailbox Inbox and Contacts folders. All of my contacts are in subfolders of the Exchange server's Contacts folder...only one test user is directly in the Contacts folder. I set all Contacts subfolders with "Show this folder as an email address book" box checked for the folder. From Outlook, I can see the Contacts and subfolder, and I have it open to my Contacts\Personal subfolder by default. Using OWA. when I open a new message and click on To..., all I see is the Contacts folder and no subfolders.and only that one test user (directly in Contacts folder) is visible from OWA. None of the subfolders is visible from OWA...all I see is Global Address List (empty) and Contacts (with the one test user name). I want my subfolders to be visible from Outlook and from OWA. Do I even have my Contacts in the right place? Any ideas will be most appreciated! Thank you! Gregg Hill P.S. Do I have to manually convert all my mail rules to work from the server?  - Moving organizational forms without Mig Wiz??? We are migrating from an Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 architecture. Due to some design considerations we cannot migrate System Folders over... How do I get our organizational forms over? I don't have a good enough understanding of where my personal forms library is stored to know whether publishing to my personal library and moving that somehow will work... I tried publishing the forms to a folder, and then exporting the folder to .pst, but that doesn't keep the forms attached if i then re-open that .pst with an account on the new exchange box.  - IISLockdown Problems Hi, can´t access public folders in system manager after installing iislockdown (The operation failed due an internal server error. c1030af2) Everytime I try to uninstall iislockdown I get the following message: Starting undo... Backing up IIS metabase... Restoring file permissions... Unable to restore ACL on file: Der Prozess kann nicht auf die Datei zugreifen, da sie von einem anderen Prozess verwendet wird. Undo did not complete I already reinstalled IIS and exchange 2000. But I´ve still the same problems as before. Furthermore I get the failure id 1022 and I think it´s an aftereffect of iislockdown.  - Trust relationship- 2- 2003 domains Hi; I have two A/D domains and both are 2003 Standard server. Domain 1 was migrated from Windows 2000 Domain 2 is fresh install 2003 I am trying to establish a trust relationship between the two but keep getting the following message: "You cannot modify domain or trust information because a Primary Domain Controller (PDC) emulator cannot be contacted. Please verify that the PDC emulator and the network are both online and functioning properly." I am at a loss & can't find a KB on this either. This error happens when I try to get properties of the domain 1 in the AD Domains and Trusts window.  - MS Exchange 2003 - I am desperate! As I am trying to migrate my Exchange mailboxes from an NT server with Exchange 5.5 over to my new Server 2003 with Exchange 2003, I am constantly getting an error message. I can see the mailboxes on the NT server, and I can even initiate teh migration process, but without fail, I get the error message. The message states that I need to check my application log, and when I do, the log file has a link to a website containing what is supposed to be the solution. Instead I get a notice stating that I need to install Service Pack 3, in which there is no SP3 for Exchange. I am in a severe crunch and need serious help!  - Please help I installed Exchange 2003 on member server and when i create a new user and a mailbox for him it works fine,but the mailbox never appears in System Manager and therefore i cannot connect to it either from Outlook or OWA.  - OWA access Front-end server not passing authentication to Back-end Here is my Config: Back-end Cluster running Win2k3 and Exch2k3 Front-end Single Server running Win2k3 and Exch2k3 I just added the Front-end server and I'm trying to move the OWA access point to the server. Here is the problem: When I connect to https://webmail.server.com/exchange I get the error "The page must be viewed over a secure channel" which I'm doing. I've looked at the Exchange and Exchweb website configurations and they are exactly the same as my clustered back-end servers which I had OWA working perfectly. I've tried to remove the SSL certificate and removed the requirement for SSL on the Back-end servers, but I still get the same error. I finally tried to remove the SSL certificate and removed the requirement for SSL on the Front-end server, then it seems as if the Front-end server doesn't pass the authentication to any DC. I try to logon and I keep getting the username and password window. After the 3rd window I get the following error: "Error: Access is Denied." Could someone please help me with this one.  - Help, Need moving Exchange 5.5 w/ AD installed to another domain's AD Hi: I have a Windows 2000 environment. I also have 2 domains in this environment (Domain-A and Domain-X). Within Domain-A is the AD. All Users on the network login to Domain-A. I also have another domain on the same network this is Domain-X. Domain-X is the domain where the Exchange 5.5 Server resides. Basically, I have 2 running Active Directory's on the same network, 1 for exchange 5.5 and 1 for basic file server and print server access. How do I move the Exchange 5.5 server from Domain-X into Domain-A? The AD in Domain-A has the same User Accounts in at has in Domain-X. I need the User Accounts from Domain-A to be able to match up with mailboxes in Exchange 5.5. Can this be done? I know that the mailboxes from Domain-X can only be accessed from the User Account wth the SID that it was created with. Being that I will be demoting my Exchange 5.5 Server from a Domain Controller to a member server, I need to be able to have the User Accounts from the other domain (Domain- A) link up with the mailboxes from Domain-X) Will SIDs be a problem here? The 5.5 server has a different domain name than the 2000 server ( lets call them domainA@mail.com and domainB@mail.com respectively). All of the steps have worked flawlessly up to the point where I have to move the mail boxes. I moved a test mailbox over to the 2000 server. Everything seemed to work fine. Problem, if mail is sent from the outside to domainA@mail.com it automatically gets "forwarded" to domainB@mail.com as if it were sent there. The problem comes when mail is sent internally to domainA@mail.com the message keeps bouncing and never reaches domainB@mail.com. Why would this happen on internal mail and not external mail. We purchased the full licensed version and i went to do a re- install, per the RTM read-me (to upgrade to the licensed version). During the re-install, it stops while trying to copy ALSPERF.DLL . (it comes up with the "can't find this file, but it's right there on the CD in the right spot). If I say to cancel that copy (figuring I can copy the file later), it then stops at the copy of alsperf.ini and just freezes..... Any Idea what could be causing that problem?  - Users not appearing in GAL After creating multiple users in AD the users do not show up in the GAL. I've updated and rebuild the RUS -and nothing. We can send mail on our Exchange 2003 server, but can't

Here is a wonderful guide for Exchange 2000 I realize you are using 2003,
but the principles for inbound mail would be the same.
