I want to rename the GAL but not sure how to do it.

Also I want to list the names with Lastname, Firstname. I know how to
do it, but i already have users in Exchange, and is there a way to make
the existing users show up in the Address list in the LastName,
FirstName format?

You should not rename the GAL "Global Address List" is the right thing
to go with. If you want to add another address list and make it show
up first then that would be a good plan. You can use the "Address
Lists" feature in ESM to create and configure.

The GAL is populated from the Display Name in the properties of each
user. You will need to do a mass change (google for ADMODIFY) in that
regard.

thanks mark
This was a request from my client.

I actually called support and they said the same thing. I saw the KB
article 188643 regarding this as well.
