Hi there.

Right now i'm running and Exchange 2003 Server in a Windows 2003 Server
Enterprise.

My domain is an Windows 2000 in Native Mode.(All DC are Windows 2000) I'm
trying to configure the RPC over HTTP functionaliy without success.

As long as i can see, may be the problem is that the Global Catalog must be
an Windows 2003 Server.

Do i have to promote de Exchange 2003 server to DC?? Is there any problem
doing so?. (In fact i'll rather not do it).

Thanks

Yes the GC that you configure the FE to point to must be
W2K3. You don't need to promote the Exchange servers to
DCs.
Following http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=kb;en-us;833401 will simply get you started.

Thank you.

Is there any possibility to work around this requirement of de DC (with GC
role) in Windows 2003?

It's practically imposible for me to execute an upgrade in my production
site.

Thanks.
