dear exchange gurus,

i just setup a small lab with one w2k3 dc and two w2k3 member server. one to
hold the exchange installation and the other to do routing and ras to my
provider.

a) does it make sense to install exchange 2003 on the member server or
should i place on the dc ?

b) where do i have to run domain prep and forest preb. do i have to do this
on the dc or can i do it on the member server where i will place the
exchange installation.

thanx
bert

Exchange on a member server is preferred for both security and performance
reasons.
You can run forestprep and domainprep from either DC or memebr server.
