HI guys,

I'm in the process of migtrating from exhange 2000 to
exchange 2003. Exchange 2000 is in one domain and the new
exchange 2003 is in a different domain.. my question is
do you need the adc connector or how do you connect the
exchange 2003 to know of the exchange 2000 organization...

any help would be great..

thanks

As long as the domain hosting Exchange 2003 is in the same forest as the
domain with Exchange 2000, then Exchange 2003 will see the existing Exchange
configuration in the Active Directory and install into it. No ADC needed.
You'll be able to see both servers in the ESM.

Exchange 2003 can see the Exchange 2000 because the Exchange configuration
infomationg (the Org, Admin Groups, etc) are in the forest Configuration
container in the AD that all domains share.
