I an upgrade migration for an E55 Site, I have already
installed my first E2003 server, and ran forestprep and
domain prep on the server.

Now, I'm upgrading an E55 server within the same site to
E2000, in hopes to take it to E2003. Upon setup, i get an
error that is explaned in Q327022. Its telling me to run
Forestprep and domain prep for this E2000 installation.

Is it ok to run these preps [forest/domain] even after I
ran them on the 1st E2003 server? Will I break anything,
or have to reinstall forestprep/domain for 2003 again to
keep my only E2003 server happy?

thanks,
Mike

Why are you upgrading Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 if you already have
Exchange 2003 in your environment? Did you ever run the Exchange 2000
forestprep and domainprep before running the Exchange 2003 forestprep and
domainprep?

Hi Bob, I'm upgrading a server from e55 to e2000 because I
have a lot of mailboxes. Either way, I solved my issue.
thanks, Mike

Hi Hank,

I ended up installing E2000 with the user account I ran
forestprep on E2003 with.

Mike
