IDQ, IDA, HTX files cannot be placed on a network share?

Hi all,

I am new to index/iis server 5.0. Currently a virtual web site is hosting
on iis 5.0 server but all of its files are on a different server, on a file
server.

The index service is also installed on the IIS server. A catalog is
configured on the IIS server, but all IDQ, IDA, and HTX files are on the
root of the web site which are the file server.

When I can access the default page just fine, but when I do a search I get
an error message "IDQ, IDA, HTX files cannot be placed on a network share"

Are there any workaround that alow me to fix this problem without moving the
whole web files to the IIS server. (IDQ, IDA, HTX files can be moved to IIS
box)?
