E2k3 fails install

hello,

In our organisation we have a Exchange 2k (standard) running on W2k. Last
week we installed a fresh system Windows Server 2003 with no problem. We
also tried to install Exchange 2k3 on it.

Forestprep finishes ok
Domainprep finishes ok
All objects in AD seem to be fine: "Active Directory Connectors" is present
and checked for the common 3 malformed objects.

Setup fails with error 0x80072030 and I can't find what's wrong. In the
setup log it shows this:

Does anyone here know what goes wrong? All help is appreciated.

The setup log it shows you are trying to install in Disasterrecovery mode.
See if there is a partially-created Exchange 2000 server object in the AD for
that
server. Removing it by using ADSIEdit.

Indeed there was one cause the original install failed so after that we
tried a install in disasterrecovery mode and that also failed. We managed to
get it installed by removing the complete Exchange 2k3, rebooting and just
re-installing.
