E2k3 fails install

hello,

In our organisation we have a Exchange 2k (standard) running on W2k. Last
week we installed a fresh system Windows Server 2003 with no problem. We
also tried to install Exchange 2k3 on it.

Forestprep finishes ok
Domainprep finishes ok
All objects in AD seem to be fine: "Active Directory Connectors" is present
and checked for the common 3 malformed objects.

Setup fails with error 0x80072030 and I can't find what's wrong. In the
setup log it shows this:

[16:11:21] Entering CAtomMDB::ScTakeAllStoresOffline
(f:\titanium\admin\src\udog\exsetdata\components\server\a_mdb.cxx:3097)
Error code 0X80072030 (8240): There is no such object on the
server.

Error code 0X80072030 (8240): There is no such object on the
server.

server.

Does anyone here know what goes wrong? All help is appreciated.

Hi Wil!

Not sure what's causing these particular errors but you should check that the exchange security groups is found in the Users
Container and nowhere else.

We managed to get it installed...with some luck that is. We deïnstalled
Exchange 2k3 completely, also deleting the AD objects it created. After that
we did a reboot and a fresh install and everything seemed to work now.
