Hi All

I tryed to install EX2K7, and got below error.

Error:
This computer is running Windows Server 2003 and has not been assigned an
IPv4 address. Check the network configuration. IPv6 is only supported in
Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 when it is installed on a Windows Server
2008 computer that has both IPv4 and IPv6 enabled. See
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=102391 for more details.

I have:

1) One onboard NIC, disabled in BIOS. (Should not be the problem.)

2) One PCI NIC with a static IP address. works fine.

3) One onboard WLAN, without a driver. don't have x64 driver for this. And
this might be the problem.

My question is how do I cheat the Exchange 2007 Prerequisites check, to get
around this problem?

Thanks

Ruben

Can you remove the IP address on WLAN and disable it? Not sure why you have
WLAN on the Exchange anyways?

There are no IP on the WLAN, and I don't have a x64 driver for this , so
it's not possible to give it an IP, I tryed to disable it anyways. Without
luck.

I have a WLAN because its a x64 PC with onboard WLAN, and not possible to
disable it in BIOS.

And yes I should not have a WLAN on my Exchange server in production.

I am only trying to make a test server, thats why.

So I guess the answer is I can't cheat the Prerequisites check, and have to
find another test server, right?

The message says you have not been assigned an IPv4 address? Then, in that
case, enable the other NIC, and assign it an IPv4 address, you don't have to
connect it to anywhere, that should get you past that check.

Hi Gabriel

Sounds true, but I was unable to find a driver for the onboard NIC, I then
disabled it in BIOS, that meens that the Windows and the Exchange installer
should not be able to see this NIC. but only the onboard WLAN wich I also
don't have a driver for and can't disable in BIOS. I did disable the WLAN in
device manager, as I don't have a driver anyways.

I hope that made it more clear.

Did you have any other Idears?

Rgds

Ruben

I'm a little unclear here.
Is the connected LAN interface using ipv6 or 4?

Only IP4, the IP6 component is not installed.
