Hi,

I have an Exchange 2003 Server with just one mailbox running on it and would
like to install 2007 on the same server. I'd like to somehow backup my
existing mailbox completely re-install the Windows OS and then AD and
Exchange 2007 and then restore the mailbox. Can anyone recommend some freely
available backup software to do this or any articles that may be related to
this process?

Many thanks- Jamie.

Hi,

With only one mailbox I would use Outlook to export everything to a pst
file.

One Mailbox? Just copy it to a pst via Outlook or exmerge.

As the others said, with one mailbox, not sure if it would be worth it.
In general, the best approach, if possible is to build clean vs. upgrade...

Also, IIRC, you couldn't do it anyway. I believe that Exchange 2007
*requires* a 64-bit OS while Exchange 2003 will not *run* on a 64 bit OS....
