I'm hoping someone can help with this problem. I can't seem to get the GAL
to show the mailboxes on a 2003 server in the same Org.

My configuration is a mixed Exchange 5.5 and 2003 Org. All Exchange servers
are in the same Org. Site 1 has been swing upgraded to a child domain of an
empty root with a new Exchange 2003 server installed in the same site as the
5.5 server. Site 2 has only Exchange 5.5 on NT 4 and will be eventually
collapsed into Site 1. Viewing the GAL on the Exchange 2003 server shows all
mailboxes from all 3 servers but when viewing it on either Exchange 5.5
server, it doesn't show the users that are on the 2003 server.

The ADC has been installed on a DC in Site1 and successfully replicates
changes made on the disabled accounts that were created in AD or on accounts
in either Exchange 5.5 server. Turning up logging on the ADC does not result
in any useful information or errors. The ADC connection agreements to both
5.5 servers have been updated to use the 2003 server. The ADC service
account is both a local admin on the Exchange server and has been delegated
Exchange Full Admin rights in 2003. Forcing Dir Sync and ADC sync makes no
change.

It seems like I have covered all the bases but I still don't see the GAL
updated in the Exchange 5.5 servers. Someone please tell me what I am
missing.

Thanks in advance,
Vinnie

Hi,

And you have configured the ADC connection agreement to include the OU's
where the user accounts are located?

Yes, below I wrote that changes to accounts replicate correctly in either
direction.

Hi,

I can't see that you wrote that. You wrote that changes to disabled accounts
created by the ADC replicates back. I assumed that you created a specific OU
to hold disabled accounts and have a seperate OU structure to hold live
accounts. This OU structure should be included on the connection agreement.

The disabled accounts are the ones created by the ADC as placeholders for the
mailboxes. They are in separate OUs and each CA is pointed to the correct OU
for replication.
