I've migrated all my users over onto my new Ex2003 server and want to
remove my Ex5.5 server from the site and organisation.

The Ex5.5 server used to be the sole server in the site and there are
several other Ex5.5 servers in Exchange sites that will remain.

I've moved over the OAB, Schedule+ and the Routing Calculation schedule

I've turned the Ex5.5 server off for a few days and nothing seems to be
broken, so I'm feeling pretty confident, but I want to know if it's safe to
finally remove it.

Thanks for your help,

Adam

Hi

I think you have 1 site and 4 ex5.5 server.
If you changed The first install server you must move OAB,Schedule+ and
system folder to Ex2K3 and replication must complete.
You have SRS database working with other exchange 5.5 server.
And than you remove the ex5.5 from the site.
First you prefer uninstall the ex5.5 and then delete it.

Best Regards
Cahit

Thanks for the quick response!

Actually I've got three sites each with a 5.5 server in it, and my site
which has 5.5 and 2003.

I've moved over the OAB, Schedule+ and the Routing Calculation schedule

SRS looks like it's working (but how can you tell?!?)

So once I'm sure everything is working, I just stop all the Exchange
services on the server I want to remove and hit the delete key on the
server object in Exchange admin?

Thanks,

Adam

Here are some other things to check for:

Have you changed your Directory Replication Connectors to point to the SRS
server instead of the 5.5 server?
How about moving over connectors to point to the Exchange 2003 server
instead (Source and Target)?
Are you sure there are no Public Folders (System or Otherwise) left on the
server? The deployment tools have a tool called pfmigrate which will scan
for left over public folders (run twice once for System once for public).
Did you move the Routing Calculation Server Role if this is the last 5.5
server in the site?
Did you change the OAB generating Server in the Site-DC Configuration ?

Check out these KBs for particulars on things to look for:
