Hi,

If you are migrating within the same exchange organization you can make
replicas of the folders on the new server. Pfmigrate is one tool that can do
that (another tool is esm).

Hello,

Yes, it is in the same Exch. organization. PfMigrate is a command prompt
tool, is there anything from within the "systme Mgmt" in exchange that would
do the same job?
what is the esm tool?

Thanks

Hi,

In Exchange system manager you can add a replica of a public folder to the
new server. The pfmigrate tool does the same, but if you have a lot of
folders it might be faster to do it this way (pfmigrate).

Hello,

Thanks, which one would you use? NO, there isn't a lot of folders.
one more thing, after moving the Mailboxes and public folders what else
needs to be done before taking the old sever off line?

Try to verify that all folders, including certain system folders, have
replicas on the new server. Wait sufficient time for users to return from
vacation so that their Outlook clients will get redirected automatically.
