Scenario:
We have one AD domain - ourdomain.com - which is the holding company (HC).
We have 5 OU's configured, each one for a specific bank and the HC. User
accounts for each specific bank or HC are placed in their corresponding OU.
I've manually entered each bank's users SMTP email address to match their
domain (ie. bankuser@bank1.com, bankuserB@bank2.com, etc.).
We have one Exchange 2003 server, with the default recipient policy (SMTP =
ourdomain.com).
We have an IIS SMTP relay server that is directly connected to the Internet.
The IIS server has the 5 remote domains configured to send incoming mail to
the Exchange server.
Questions:
1. Should I configure a recipient policy for each bank (OU) that applies to
their non-AD domain (ie. bank1.com, bank2.com, bank3.com and bank4.com)?
2. How should I properly configure the Default SMTP VS and SMTP Connector?
I want to make sure there is no looping, bouncing, etc.
I appreciate the help in advance.
