Old Setup :-
Several Windows2000 Servers including one running Exchange 2000 Standard.
Ideal Target.
Replacement Server installed running Windows2003 Server and Exchange 2003
Enterprise.
The idea is/was to install the new server into the Domain and run two
Exchange servers, with some mailboxes on each. We would then gradually
migrate users off the Ex2000 Server and move their mailboxes onto the Ex2003
server. Once the last mailbox had been moved, we could remove the Ex2000
Server from the exchange groups and then from the domain completely and
power down.
Can anyone point me at an install/deployment guide that might talk us
through this scenario ?
Currently the Ex2003 Server is installed following the instructions we had
(including all the forestprep stuff on the DCs) and will hapilly send E-mail
out to the Internet using a test user account that has a mailbox on the
Ex2003 machine.
This test user cannot send mail to other users on our Domain and cannot
receive incoming mail either from the Internet or from an Internal user with
a mailbox on the Ex2000 Server.
Any clues much appreciated !!!
Thanks
Andy
