Recently, I have installed an additional Exchange Enterprise SP2 back-end
server on a new hardware box and migrated all mailboxes from the old server
(Exchange Standard SP1) to it. The new server installed with Symantec Mail
Security 4.6 and BrightStor ArcServe Backup r11.5 with Exchange Agent. The
old server was uninstalled according to the Microsoft Article ID: 822931 and
reinstall it as Exchange Standard SP2 front-end server.

On the new back-end server Application Log, I got the error Event ID 8197
every 25 minutes.
On the Exchange System Manager, when I opened the Properties of the MailBox
store, I got this error:
There is no such object on the server.
Facility:Win32
ID no: c0072030
Exchange System Manager
After clicking the OK button, I can still access the Properties page.

When I clicked Public Folder-->Properties-->Permissions-->Client
Permissions, I failed to open the page and got this error:
The attempt to log on to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer has failed.
The MAPI provider failed.
Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store
ID no: 8004011d-0512-00000000
ID no: c1050000
Exchange System Manager
This error was accompanied by an error Event ID 9175 in the Application Log.

On the outlook client, whenever we send meeting invitation to Resources, we
got the error saying:
Unable to directly book a resource for this meeting

All clients cannot open the Public Folders and got the error:
The set of folders could not be opened.

All other Exchange services are running properly.
Does anyone know how to solve the above problems? Thanks.

Try running the Policytest utility from the Exchange CD-ROM in the
Support\Utils\i386 folder.

When you run Policytest in a domain, the last line of the message you
receive should state either of the following:
Right Found: "SeSecurityPrivilege"

Just to make sure that it is not a problem with the security privileges.

If you have problem with the security privilege check that your GPO are in
place and run setup /domainprep.

I have tried this, but found there is no security privilege problem.

One more sympton for your information. From the outlook, Tools --> Options
--> Calendar Options--> Resource Scheduling, the page cannot be opened and
got thise error:
The attempt to log on to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer has failed.

I added another temporary Exchange server into the domain and moved some of
the mailboxes from the new server to it. No more problems are found on those
mailboxes.

Any other solutions. Thanks.

Check if the server account has the correct permissions on the Exchange
server container in Active Directory:

1. Start ADSI Edit.

a. Click Start, click Run, type adsiedit.msc, and then click OK.
b. Click Tools, and then click ADSI Edit.

2. Expand Configuration, expand Configuration
(CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=com), expand Services, and then expand
Microsoft Exchange.
3. Expand OrganizationName, expand Administrative Groups, expand
AdministrativeGroupName, and then expand Servers.
4. Right-click Server Name, and then click Properties.
5. Click the Security tab, verify that the server object is in the list of
accounts with rights, and then verify that the Allow check box for Full
Control is selected. If this permission is not selected, click to select the
Allow check box for Full Control, and then click OK.
6. Quit ADSI Edit.
7. Wait for the change to replicate among the domain controllers.
8. Restart System Attendant.

Do you mean the server object SERVERNAME$ ? It is already with FULL CONTROL.

I forgot to tell one thing. The new server was Exchange Standard SP1. I
upgraded it to Exchange Enterprise SP2 by Reinstall from the CD as Article ID
: 170280.

Would it be the reason? how to fix it? Thanks.

All problems have been fixed.

I opened the Mailbox Store Properties page (click OK on the error as
mentioned earlier). I found the path shown under the Default Public Store in
General tab had become ...OLDSERVERNAME\OADEL:<SID>, then I pressed Browse
button to choose the new server and the path became ...\NEWSERVERNAME\First
Storage Group\Public Folder Store (NEWSERVERNAME). All problems are resolved.
We used to put all the servers under System Policies. I think the path
failed to be updated after the first Exchange Server were uninstalled, but it
is never mentioned in the Microsoft Article ID: 822931

Thank you Vannini.
