At this point I am doing research on generally how to do this and what is involved.
We have a little different setup that what I have found in microsofts typical migration doc's
Again I am just looking for general steps or strategy opinions on how to migrate.
Office #1 has
NT 4.0 PDC / Exchange 5.5
NT 4.0 BDC / Tap backup machine
Win 2K / SQL 2000
Office #2 has
NT 4.0 PDC
All users regardless of office use the exchange server in office #1 over a DSL WAN
I have budget for a new server to install W2003/Exchange 2003. I need the upgrade to
be as simple as possible. Hopefully switch off the NT4/Exchange 5.5 in office #1 and turn
on the new 2003 server. Is this possible?
What steps would you do for this migration? Do I need to convert Office #2's domain to 2003
also?
What changes do I need todo to all the workstations?
