If the Exchange server is not directly connected to the Internet you will
need to set the address to forward all SMTP messages to a SMTP server that
has access to the Internet and will handle your domains messaging. The
settings can be found on the IMC properties page.
If the Exchange server has access to the Internet you will need to be sure
it is configured with a valid FQDN and proper DNS configuration so that it
can resolve addresses.
