I have a Windows 2003 server with all the patches running Exchange
2003 server with all the patches. I used the exchange migration wizard to
tranfer clients from one server to another. The old server is gone so I
can't do any testing on it.
When I create a new user from scratch, I can use OWA, IMAP and every
other exchange feature. Accounts that were migrated though can't access
IMAP. I believe I've checked all their rights in AD and it appears they
should be able to use IMAP however they can't. If I export their data to a
PST from the workstation and create a new account they can access IMAP -
using the same workstation that couldn't access it before - this is true
both from within the company and remotely. This isn't feasable for all the
clients. Is there something I should be checking?
I checked under AD -
Exchange Features - it says everything is enabled using defaults
including IMAP4 (which is the same thing it shows for a new user as well as
a migrated user)
Exchange Advanced - Self has the same permissions for both a new user
and a migrated user.
I have this issue for two servers in two different domains. Both had
all the latest patches for Exchange and Windows before I performed the
migration.
Thanks
