The security certificate on the server is invalid. Contact your system
administrator or ISP to install a valid certificate on the server and try
again.

Hi,

If you have installed a selfsigned certificate on the exchange server you
must install the root certificate on the device.

I've currently run into a similar issue with an i-Mate JasJar. Because
we're using a third-party CA, I've installed the Root cert and Intermediate
cert onto the WM5 device, but still no luck. I continue to receive error
0x80070300 when accessing (via ActivSync or directly via IE) any site using
a cert created by the third-party Intermediate CA.

Based on many web articles, I was hoping that I could disable certchecking,
but that no longer works on WM5. Another option I was considering was to
set the CertCheckMode on IIS 6.0 to 65536 which should set the IIS server to
not validate client certificates. Not sure if this will help.

At this point, my next step is to contact Microsoft directly...
