This is a real newbie question, so please dont shoot me - yet.

I'm setting up a totally new installation of Exchange Server 2003 (on
SBS Premiunm 2003).

I've setup local PCs to access their e-mails through Exchange (they
are all POP3 mailboxes, but dont know if that is relevant).

I've also got a copy of the Exchange Server 2003 Admnistrators
Companion.

My next step is to setup our Mobile (notebook) users.

I understand about accessing the server to get new mail using RPC or
OWA (well I think I understand!!) but my question is more basic than
that....

If a users E-mails are being kept by Exchange on the Server, how does
a Notebook user look at their folders whilst they are off-line (e.g.
not in the office and not on the Internet)?
And how do they re-synch when back on-line?

Am I misunderstanding something here, or is there some setup I'm doing
wrong.

Simple answers much appreciated,

JohnK

Everyone is a newbie at some point. :)

You need to set the Outlook client to use Offline Folders - depending on
your version of Outlook depends where this setting is - This is for Outlook
XP (2002)
