I am trying to run ExMerge against and Exchange 2003
server runing on Windows SBS 2000. I keep getting the
error "Error opening message store (MSEMS). Verify that
the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is
running and that you have the correct permissions to log
on. (0x8004011d)" when I run it against any mailbox other
than administrator. I have followed the steps in
KBArticle - 322312 with no success. Help please.

Zach,

Here's some steps you may want to try:

1. Create a security group and name it Exmerge

2. Make your user account a member of that group.

Note: Do not use the built-in Administrator account.

3. In Exchange System Manager, open the properties of the target

database object, and then add this group with full permissions on the

"Security" page.

4. Wait for replication and then try using Exmerge with this account.
