If I want to run Exchange 2003 Clustering I need to use Exchange 2003
Enterprise Edition, but does this mean I also have to run Windows 2003
Enterprise Edition?

Actually I believe you need Windows 2003 Ent Ed to support a cluster.

That's all accurate. The point I was making was that you still need to OS to
support clustering as well. Windows 2003 Standard does not do that.

Re: Enterprise -vs- Standard Edition by Bob

If you want to run Microsoft's clustering you need Exchange 2003 Enterprise
Edition and Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition.

Third party clustering packages, such as Legato AAM or Veritas Cluster
Server, can support Exchange clustering with the Standard server versions.
Granted, those products are not free and they have a learning curve just
like any other software packages.
