Whats the best way to set up an alias in exchange.

for eg my email is gordon@ and i also want to have mail come in for ghiggins@

also i have users who work at home can i get them to connect to exchange
server with outlook on their desktops. At the moment they work off owa, but
would like to have them on desktop outlook. I have a firewall in place and
thought a vpn might be a good idea, but just want to check if this is best.

To set up a new email address (MTP alias) you can simply go into ADU&C
on the Exchange server, into the properties of your account, select
the email addres tab and then add a new address. Done. Anything you
send will come from "gordon@" but you will be able to receive mails
sent to either address.

As for your 2nd question what version of Exchange are you running?
