Hello,

I followed article 307917 on how to remove an Exchange 2000 server. =
However, when I create a new user account in AD, on the Create an =
Exchange mailbox screen the Server and Mailbox Store both default to my =
old Exchange 2000 server and not the new Exchange 2003. I can select the =
new server to create the account, but how do I remove the old server =
from the selection?

Currently, the old server is still online and plugged into the network, =
i will be removing it today.

Thanks,

After Step 8 of that article is run and all of active directory is =
replicated ,that will normally remove the server from the list.
If after you remove it from the network and it still shows in ADUC, =
check ADSIEDIT for the existence of that Exchange 2000 server on all =
your domain controllers.
