Before you run ADprep /forestprep you should follow the steps outlined in
the KB314649. This will prevent you from getting the mangled attributes.
Not sure why you aren't seeing the problem attributes, but I would
definitely follow the KB steps before running the ADprep.
You can also run Exchange 2003 Forest prep before you do the ADprep and the
results should be the same.
