    - How can I determine when a file has finished copying so I can grab I need to import and process text files as they are copied to a folder. Some files can be a few megs in size and I don't want to grab them until they are copied completely. A coworker uses LEN(FILETOSTR('filename')) in a loop with a 10 second WAIT and grabs the file when the size stays the same two times in a row. Anybody know of a better solution?     - VFP Web Base Problem Hi All, I have a huge VFPv6 application (use VFP local database) and want 20 users can concurrently execute it through Internet Explorer. Since I have no time and money to modify this application again, I search a quick method to solve this problem but not very sure can it work. Run this VFPv6 application under Linux server with Win4lin or VMWARE (I am not sure which one is best for VFP applciaton using native table) etc... Then I install VNC Server in this Linux Server. So, other people can CONCURRENTLY access the VFPv6 application through Internet Explorer (I know VNC support client use IE). Does anyone succeed in such above case ? Please give me some advice... I will not try Window Terminal Server becuase users can not access my application through IE. Citrix is a best solution but it is very very expensive!! I have read over the Windows XP Logo Requirements and was wondering where a VFP database should be stored. Currently we are storing the database in "Program Files\[Company Name]\[Program Name]" Is this correct or should it be moved to the "All Users\Application Data\[Company Name]\[Program Name]" folder.     - Using 3rd party OCX containing various objects I am trying to use a 3rd party active component, called DICOMObjects made by http://www.medicalconnections.co.uk. The sad truth is that they don't provide sample codes or applications for VFP when other languages like VB, Delphi, VC are supported. Unlike ActiveX controls that can be dragged and dropped on the forms, these components consist of objects that can be included as a part of the programming codes. In Visual Basic, it had "Component" menu under "Project" tab where you can add ocx files to the project. Once added, all the objects defined by DICOMOBJECTS.OCX became available.     - URGENT: FoxPro COM Object Please Please Please. I am in time crunch and need to have fast access to a FoxPro database (*.dbc file). Thru VB, I tried using both OLE-DB and ODBC drivers for fox pro to insert/update data in that database. However, there are certain code in the foxpro triggers and field validation rules that are not supported under ODBC or OLE-DB. So my app fails. Up until now I have been editing the stored procedures in foxpro to comment out the incompatible code that causes the problem. But I can no longer do that. The 3rd party app which has the foxpro DB has been updated in such a way that changing the stored procedures codes will break the 3rd party app, which is not an option anymore. Someone suggested creating a very simple 1 method COM object using foxpro. Thet single method will take a string as input and return a ADO25.Recordset object. The method will exeucte ANY sql passed to it after connecting to the DBC file. Since the method is written in foxpro it should have no problems with the stored procedures within the DBC. Is this possible?? Please help me write this COM object. I have no idea what to do or how to begin. Please keep in mind that this COM object must not have any GUI, since its has to run in ASP, ASP.NET as well as VB.NET console app as a batch.     - Index problems I have one customer that is getting the following error Index does not match the table. Delete the index file and re-create the index She has gotten it 3 times in the past 2 days, each time I have deleted the index and re-created.     - Project manager doesn't keep track of changed files I upgraded an FPW project to VFP8. I have to manually delete the fxp's when changing the prg's, because the project manager isn't paying attention to the fact that I changed them. I completely threw away the project file and built a new one from scratch, yet the problem persists. I opened the project as a dbf and cleared all the time stamps and object code. The problem persists. Code pages have been assigned, the project has been packed and rebuilt, yet whenever I change a prg (opening it from the project manager), the old fpx still gets called. The fxp's are in the same directory as the prg's. If I choose Compile from the Program menu, it works properly, but I shouldn't have to do that.     - inconsistant grid behavour Hi, I have a grid with 3 columns (code,description,group) and a producttable with 3 ordertags (code,description,group). when the user clicks on one of the headers the similar named order is selected. So when the user clicks on the first header (code) the order is changed to the code. when the user press the tabkey the same behaviour is performed. the weird thing is that the activerow and the current recordno. somehow doesn't behave the same when the activerow is 1 and when the activerow is somewhere below row 1. When the activerow is 1, the grid behaves like it should be : the currentrecord and the activerow stays the same and the order is altered upon the usersactions and the grid refresh well : I mean the record and the activerow stay the same and the rest changes upon the order that is selected. So it's very easy for the user to look up some code. but when the activerow is somewhere else, the records moves around whitout any clue. the record in the activerow changes when the order is changed ! and this is very confusing for the user. for example when he search in the table a portion of a produktkode, and then changes the order to description to go on search in this order, the record in the activerow changes to something he wasn't looking for. So my question is does somebody know how to get a fixed recordno in the activerow even when the tableorder is changed. Then I will send this file with the executable and it will be different for every person. I am having the problem though, that foxpro is trying to include it in the build. I have a line in one of my forms to say SET PROCEDURE TO '.\progs\Custom.fxp' And this causes FoxPro to include it into the exe even though I have it marked as excluded. In a standard setup you'd probably distribute only the EXE file and
the entire data folder (dbc, dct, dcx, dbf, cdx, fpt)

As Stefan said, you probably only want to ship the EXE (+ VFP runtime files)
and data files. SPR files that were generated in fox2x are nolonger
generated in VFP. The SCX and SCT are compiled and embedded in the EXE.
