What is the latest version of VFP 6? I ran Visual Studio Service Pack 6, but
it seems not to have changed the VFP version, and no SP is listed in the
About box.

I see from MS's life cycle schedule that support for VFP 6 has ended. Does
that mean service packs will be unavailable?

Thanks, but I found the answer. In case anyone's interested, here's the
story.

VFP 6 is dead, and Visual Studio SP6 does not contain VFP updates. But SP5
does, and for the time being, it can be found here:

Paul,

SP5.

From the related posts I have seen out here, the service packs are still
available. Maybe someone else can tell you how to find them. I think but
am not sure that if you download SP5, you will get SP1-4 as well. Sorry,
that I can't be more specific. I downloaded the SP's when I upgraded to
VFP6 which is too long ago for my feeble brain to recall.

Hi Paul,

VS6 SP6 did not have any FoxPro-related changes, so that's why applying it
didn't change your file version. Yes, when the lifecycle support has ended
then Microsoft will no longer provide (new) service packs, although as far
as I know the existing ones will continue to be downloadable, just as the
FPW updates continue to be downloadable.

The latest version of Visual FoxPro is VFP8 and the VFP9 Beta, due out later
this year, is publicly available for download from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/. Try it out and see what you're missing
out on!!!

Thanks. I'll see what I can do about upgrading this project to VFP 9.
